Rock hopper
Hello, So I was looking for some squid grounds between seal rocks and forster. I found myself at Elizabeth Beach yesterday scampering over the rocks to the point. Turned a big boulder and 3 metres from the waves about 2 meters high I almost stepped on a coastal taipan. ( well that was my id) happy to be corrected. So just a friendly reminder that it is snake season and to be aware. I have never seen a snake so close to the ocean. But it makes sense. They can swim. He was very scared and did not come at me at all. My foot was about 10cm from his face. Humbling experience as I thought it was a brown at first glance. Almost dove off the ledge I was on. dirvin21
Don't think it's a taipan, way to far south and colours are wrong, hard to tell but looks like a diamond python
Green Hornet
I agree with @dirvin21, looks like a diamond python. Non-venomous and pretty docile, but if threatened can still give you a nasty bite.

Ganguddy Goodoo
I was going to say a Broad Headed Snake (likes rocks and cliffs) but you are too far north. Diamond Python would be my guess too. Beautiful Snake.
Isaac Ct
I have run into some sea snakes before and some species are meant to be extremely dangerous. But if it is a python then you shouldn't have to be worried about the venom. But if it is something else I would be scared.

Larkin
Recon it could be a tiger snake. too thin in the body for its length to be a diamond imo - and can see the stripe pattern half way up.
