After several years, DECKEE and Fishraider are finally about to become the ultimate fishing and boating dream-team under one unified name and website. More on this in a moment, but first, let’s cast our minds back to the journey so far… For those that aren’t aware, we started working on DECKEE back in 2015 with a mission to help boaters and anglers be safer, more informed, and enjoy their time on the water. Fast forward to today, the free DECKEE mobile app has been used by over 400,000 people and it has also received the official tick of approval from multiple Aussie state governments. Plus, we recently launched the DECKEE online marketplace with over 5,000+ fishing and boating products available at excellent prices. It’s been a wild ride. A couple of years ago, DECKEE invested in Fishraider to bring Australia’s biggest, best and longest standing online fishing community under the same roof. DECKEE has quietly sponsored Fishraider ever since, and with the help of the amazing moderator team, the site has since grown to reach over 800,000 people every year. That’s a lot of anglers! In the coming days it will finally be time to bring all of this together in pursuit of that overarching mission. Fishraider.com.au will soon expand to become the DECKEE Community, found at community.deckee.com. If you're a Fishraider regular – don't worry – the site will automatically redirect you to its new home if you visit fishraider.com.au. The forums you love aren't going anywhere, it's just the website address and logo that is changing. I know change can be tough, but I assure you that we're committed to keeping the spirit, history and camaraderie of Fishraider alive as part of this next chapter. In fact, the fishing section of the DECKEE Community will continue to be known as FISHRAIDER! In the weeks and months ahead, this expansion will bring some big benefits for new and existing community members, such as: A single login to access both the DECKEE mobile app and the Community Forum Access to the Community Forum via the DECKEE app Share the location of your fishing reports on the DECKEE map, either privately or publicly Enjoy exclusive member-only deals and discounts on fishing gear that DECKEE negotiates with top brands and suppliers Track your fishing success with a personalised fishing catch logbook in the DECKEE app Share your live location with other community members to meet up or expand your fishing circle A dedicated space to provide feedback on features and share your ideas And much, much more! Sort of seems like a natural progression to me because boating and fishing sort of go hand in hand , while I understand there are boaties that don’t fish and there are fishos who don’t own a boat I think we can all gain something by this merger and hopefully a substantial increase in the knowledge pool all round . It has great community value and along with Deckee will continue to provide a much needed service to the angling/boating communities. GordoRetired Posted March 4, 2023 Share Posted March 4, 2023 OK, I just got an email from an address I do not recognise asking me to click a link to a very strange URL. Being a retired IT security specialist I automatically delete anything like that. Maybe if you want people to confirm their emails you should send a link to a page on the Fishraider forum, ie a site we trust, which we can then use to verify emails. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

XD351 Posted March 5, 2023 Share Posted March 5, 2023 Scammers are usually after money not the email address they already have , I was more concerned of it being from someone who wants to dump malware on my computer . The good news is that the updates to the community forum web address have been completed – community.deckee.com is now the name you will see in the URL bar. If you go to fishraider.com.au or any other Fishraider link, you will automatically be redirected. As you can see, the forums you all know and love are still here, and everything should be working as per usual. Thank you all for your support throughout this transition – a new chapter begins!
