Rebel Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 Hi All, Got a call from my Mates in the East. Snapper are biting. Arrived just before low tide. It was cold. Took two rods with me. Bit quite to start. Nothing exciting. Then the reel took off. I thought I had a shark on. Big Drummer 36cm. Woke me up & spilt my coffee. They fight hard. Went quite for a while. Caught two nice Snapper. 44 & 46 cm. My mates caught four Snapper between them. The two rods were a 10'6'' Penn Prevail 2 & a 10ft. Abu Garcia 4.0 Veritas These are both top rods. I believe the Penn is the better one for rock fishing ( imo ) Watsons Bay Pub for breakfast. Top morning. Cheers. 12 1
Yowie Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 A good eating size for the reddies. Great work again. 1
Green Hornet Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 Nice mate. I hope you kept the drummer for yourself, when bled and prepared properly, they’re one of the better table fish caught locally. 3
Isaac Ct Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 Well down Rebel, very good haul in the end. Happy with that anyday. Should get the pub to cook you some fish one day maybe 1
