Larkin Posted August 12, 2023 Share Posted August 12, 2023 Gday Raiders, Spent the day exploring new areas. Fished the reefs midway to the Peak around 80m deep - areas I haven’t fished before. It was a beautiful day out there - caught around 8 sergeant baker and 4 morwong along with the following: 1 x Snapper 1 x Pigfish 2 X Marbled Flathead. Not a common catch in shallower water, only picked up several myself over the years. Thanks Dave, the marbled have a somewhat translucent flesh, different to the bluespots. Have only caught one before. Nice Reddie. Well done. Cheers. that’s why I fish too - love exploring new areas and catching different fish! I had a big hit on a large livie when I was fishing the area. When I brought it up it had a 5cm wide semi circle bite in the centre - shaped like a snappers mouth.
