Dream fish

Hi all

I normally lurk around here this is my first time posting. This is probably best catch this year, a red mowy at 48cm. i predominantly rockfish only and to catch one of these is something to really special to me.

Yep, Red Mowies are around in big numbers, but very rare to catch one on a line, in all my years, I have only caught one, speared lots of them…..great catch.

Nice mowie (as opposed to the mongrel deep sea mowies). Reasonably good eating, and not a common catch.
