    Hi Guys, Looking to buy a new sounder GPS. I want to spend up to $750, but a little less so I can get a new rod n reel would be great. I want it to measure boat speed, water temp, and be easy to use as I've never used one before. Any help or info on your set ups would be great. Cheers Peter

    Mate, I just moved to Broadwater and can see the whole bay from my balcony. I have only fished there a few times without much sucsess however the last time i fished there and burlied up I did pretty good on the Bream.     I agree totally, as I have just started to fish spots that only get water at high tide. I look for chewed off weed etc at low tide then give that spot a go. I must admit I haven't been very sucessfull to date, but the strike rate's improving. And when you look at a spot and think 'that looks fishy' go for it. Persistance pays off. I'm heading to find a few new spots this afternoon. Regards 007

    I hade a squid sesh yesteday arvo and they were going bezerk. 7 in an hour at my local, half were large table size, the rest for bait. Water was very clear, I was landbased. Regards 007

    Great effort walking a few miles to a fishing spot. I remember I went fishing with Customcasting late last year and It was at least a 40min walk in. We both landed 20 odd fish and the walk out was hell. That's dedication. Great looking blackies there mate, should be a good season. Cheers

    Hi Raiders, Fished Thursday arvo 4.30 till 7pm for some snapper on the Central Coast I only used pillies for bait. Landed 3 snapper 33 to 39cm. No swell, but the next few days should produce some quality fish as the swell increases. Good eating size, very sweet. Cheers 007

    Hey DFG, Don't give up on the grouper man, I've been smashed every time by the ones @ Avoca and I'm still trying to land one. Ive been busted off on 50lb braid and mono so I understand what happened to you. Cheers 007

    My first trip I left the bungs out. My last trip I left the muffs on for nearly 10 mins. You'll be right mate. The check list thing is very important to me now. Cheers 007

    I also know what you mean. I headed to a reputable bream spot sat morning to find lots of undersized bream. Of 30 fish landed only 4 were legal going 27 and 28cm each. Bring on the white wash and the drummer. 007

    Nice to hear that you got out there and at least a few keepers. I was stuck also not stocking up for the weekend with supplies. Least I cleaned out the freezer. send the photos too me and I'll have a crack at putting them up. I'll PM my email address. Cheers 007
