  1. hi buddy, ive got about 5-6 over the last 6 months and they were all caught in 70m of water with a 3/0 and fresh squid or fresh yellowtail.. do you like them to eat or something??
  2. well the 5yr old had fun but we only got about a dozen last night,in about an hour. the water wastnt as freezing as i thought it would be, the prawns are there but just not coming out of the weeds yet. the prawns are being kept alive for a fish in a few days..

  5. if your after a bream you should get some shallow diving hard bodys and use them over the weed beds..

youll be ok, we ran in the blue section and after we finished we went over to watch out for the girlfriends and there were plenty of yellows overtaking the blues..all youll be doing is dodging the slower racers. the footpaths are sometimes a better option.. good luck

hi mate, i ran it last year and finished in 1hr 15min, i cant do it this year though. its a really good day out and plenty of fun, good luck
  10. a nice sunny day and a good pair of sunglasses:1fishing1:
  11. just get a $10 one from target with 30m water resistant. they have lasted me over 3 years so far..
  12. i would also like to thank you for keeping us all updated on a day to day basis and the infomation you give out is more than you have to give. i have not ventured in to game fishing yet but thanks too all the info and updates you give, my fishing diary/calender is ready for the next few seasons.. also if i decide to go on a charter you will be the only choice..
  13. you might have started a bit late mate, ideally you should have rods in the water at first light 630. its only an hour but that should be the best hour of the morning..
  14. hi mate, its been too rough to get out there and have a look, i cant wait till they are on again..
  15. my 15hp yamaha 4 stroke gets flooded very easily, it will start for 10-30 sec then cut out. the best way around it is to start it at home before you go and have it running for 5-10minutes just to make sure everything if running ok.. when the motor floods you can usually smell the fuel and see straight fuel running out a small hole just under the cowling. if your stuck out there again disconect the fuel line and try to start it a few times( this helps drain the excess fuel)and when it does start up make sure you put the motor in gear and start moving before you re connect the fuel(other wise it will just flood again). hope this helps..
  16. their a real pain at terrigal boat ramp too, they just dont seem to understand that boats need too come back in and its not the smartest idea to form a circle and have a half hour chat 20m off the ramp and the beach:ranting2:
  17. id say it depends on the area your in but about 20-30km would be a starting point:1fishing1:
  18. it depends on how far you tow your trailer, if the ramp is only around the corner then every couple of years should be ok. but if your driving a fair way or regularly take long trips away then every year is advisable..
  19. hi buddy, i have 3 of those rods and regulary enjoy throwing 20g raiders at mack tuna, salmon and tailor.. you can also throw around 2-3g bream lures no worries.. i have found that when using the 20g lures its better to have 6lb braid and use the 4ib for the bream. good luck and have fun.cheers..austral
  20. also take a look at schneider..i use it for all my fishing including 20lb on the alvey for rock and beach:1fishing1:
