ya cant beat the braid for direct contact, the feeling is unbelievable ya can feel every little touch or bump, and it screams off the reel lovely giving you great casting distance compared to the mono.

nice haul mate i caught a venus tuskfish up at heron island on a charter on our honeymoon with da chefs prepped it up for the oven for me for dinner, was one of the nicest table fish iv ever eaten....ended up eating the lot myself the wife dont eat whole fish only fillets lol....the other island patrons were watching me hook into it hard whilst the rest of them were eating from a set menu lol.....your gona love it mate i was actually told they chew on coral by a local up there but i dunno if its BS or not

barra fishing is tough at times been there done that, if ya cant find any bait round where ya fishing ya wont find the barra 99% of the time, we covered alot of hinchinbrook to find them over a week period last time, but hey thats fishing....at least ya's had a good time -

nice job on the pb trev mate i caught one of the same size almost which was my pb on a 8lb setup and 2500 stradic which was screaming in the bay and i couldnt put much pressure on it at all, could imagine how u were feeling on the 2lb once again well done mate -
