    Boat Names

I drive by one everyday on the way to work called..."Prawn Star".......and not sure if it was this forum or another someone had a Kayak (needing a fair bit of effort to paddle apparently).. called..." Far Canal "....Get it?....I always remembered that name
  9. Had it for years.......in stereo of course and am sure it was from years of using a chainsaw usually without muffs. I just put up with it........its always there Try to have a few sleeping pills before bed....1: 2: 3: I find it helps

  11. Was up in Pahi last week on the northern reaches of the Kaipara harbour at their annual regatta. These local kids spent all day jumping off the wharf into the warm if somewhat cloudy water...a lot of current in the Kaipara. I took this shot of them jumping using my old digital with auto focus which is really annoying as it takes about a second to focus...so had to pre-focus and tell them to jump!.........anyhow I thought it came out great and thought I would share it. My middle son and I spent quite a bit off time ourselves jumping off and floating around to the steps......alot of fun for an old guy!
  12. Recently spent 6 days on a launch from Auckland city to the Bay of Islands for some R&R and a bit of fishing. On the way up we went over to the Poor Knights a popular dive site here in NZ and had a look inside the Rikoriko cave. It can easily handle a few large boats like the 38 fter we were on but as we hadnt set our sonar correctly it was giving us some funny readings so we took the small inflatable instead.
  13. What is boat rego? ......sometimes its gootd to be the backward little nation to your right. and we still dont need a boat or fishing license......for now anyways. I cant ever see us having a fishing license as Kiwi's consider this a god given right but the damn Jetskis and the trouble they cause could make registering a reality, tho I hope not
