what about taylors point? bait fishing, trolling or catching livies?? only fished there from the shore before for leatherjackets and snapper but not from a boat.

well done. i wish i was that lucky cuz whenever i fish bobbin head i only get throwback bream and tiny blackfish

ok, ill give it a try. is stokes pt a good place to try with the livies. Heard about a few kingies and jewies being caught off there.

Just wondering how pittwater's fishing at the moment cuz i was thinking of hiring a boat and doing some trolling around stokes point and taylors point. are there any other good bait fishing spots at the moment around there or mackerel beach??? where can you hire a boat around careel bay or palmy.

planning on going up to cape york in a few months. anyone know where the best spots are or charter boats???

sounds good, ill give it a try. id probably get em from bobbin head wharf. should i berley up and use tiny bits of bait or jigs????

what would u excpect to catch with a yakka or slimie around there????

i did see a few mullet but these were certainly salmon. someone else a couple of weeks ago when i was there caught a salmon here on pilchards but no such luck for me.also, would it be worth throwing a livie out around there or apple tree for something a bit bigger(jew).

Hi Raiders, last saturday i went up to bobbin head as you probably know. I was mainly fishing for bream and leatherjackets but didn't have a whole lot of luck. only got 3 undersize bream and a tiny blackfish While i was there i noticed a few salmon dozing around inclose swimming back and forth along the breakwall. Of course i became interested in them and decided to throw a pilchard in front of them. nothing so i tried a prawn. nothing so i tried a squidgy. nothing so i tried a metal fish. nothing so i tried a popper. Whats wrong with em. they just didnt even take a glance at anything. what a shame. any advice on how to catch these difficult fish. plz

going down to have a fish at bobbin head on friday. probs off the rockwall or sumthin.I've fished there a few times only to get a few throwback bream but seen a sizeable salmon caught aswell as a few good whiting. wonderin if anyone knows what bait and tackle i should be using around there to get stuck into anything worth catching.
