  1. at least someone had a bit of luck hehe, yea i was just behind(botany bay side) the 3rd pilon from the sansouci side.

I caught the other one on squid strips, tried yakkas and squid strips saturday night no luck.

Im thinking my gear may be too heavy, as i caught the eel and the jewie on a light rod i had setup for catching live bait that i just put a 4/0 and squid strip on.

Yeah you prob saw me, I was that idiot that couldnt get his boat anchored, it took me 3 runs before i realised that my chain on the anchor was not in the correct position, eventually my girlfriend and I both fell asleep for awhile, then packed up and left shortly after 12 pm. I think i remember seeing you on the otherside.

  2. dont have to worry bout the wife reading as i dont have 1 just worried that my mother will lol

I guess its a bad thing to ask people the amount they have spent on fishing gear. I was just curious, because im new at taking fishing seriously, about 1 year in even tho ive been fishing for 10 yrs, and ive spend alot

  3. obviously a large diesel 4wd would be the better option, and not to mention the fact that the super high low end torque they put out means that it does not matter too much on if its manual or auto, I believe its just the fact its manual, is the main issue, I work for holden (3rd yr apprentice) and my mate also has a vt commadore in auto, he tows his 4.8m boat on his and is not having any dramas

  4. Your a machine with the georges river. outa curiosity you hiting them up with SP's? or small livies, maybe even squid? only asking because squids have become so extinct even in the shops you cant get any.

  5. Hate to tell ya mate, but captain cooks bridge wasnt crowded, but cant say there was much more action, we managed a schoolie in the first hour then My girlfriend and I fell asleep with the ratchet alarms on. lol but good stuff mate atleast one took the bite.

  6. Ive been on this site for about 3 months now, and I have to say the site has got me addicted, Its amazing when you talk to random fisho's then ask if they are on fish raider, and they are. or when you get a random pm saying "Hey i saw you at that place the other day". Good job on the site. :) so wonder its getting mentioned on the newspaper.

  7. Hi guys ive just been racking my brain on how much ive spent on fishing, and why I keep continuing to spend money on it.

So far ive spend around $3700 including my boat 2 grand spent on it. Most expensive rod so far is my T-curve blue water 10-15kg with a bait runner 8000D spooled with 30lb braid which is kingies and Jewies.

Now guys rules for this is, I wanna know the max money spent on your gear not including bait. please specify if you bought a boat and price of it, then tell us the most expensive rod, and any thing else you would want to share with the rest of fish raider eg. ( what type of fishing your into ) Cheers -Carl

  8. I tow my 4.5m fibreglass boat with my 1999 vt commadore, only difference is that its auto, and i have to say i have had no issue what so ever with towing, the vx commadore has another 5 kw ontop of it, I believe if your going to tow a boat, your better with auto, because that extra load on the clutch with reduce the km you get out it not to mention its easier to use an auto at a ramp, because you got the incline as another disadvantage.
