    Movie Quote

just recently watched this movie last night and thought this quote was quite funny , was wondering if anyone knew the movie..... " Losers always whine about doing their best..... Winners go home and **** the Prom Queen " apologies for the rudish content , no offence meant to anyone!
  2. Grrrrrrrrr just got a call from my manager saying that our game has been brought forward a few hours so that counts me out! Guess i have to focus my mind on the big game now and not the big fish...... Cheers anyway!
  3. what time do u think u guys will call it a day ? If i can get back to Liverpool by 2:30pm for soccer then i might consider making an appearance if so..... anyone got a spot on their boat ??
  4. My eccentric ways are hoping for a Broncos v Storm final, just to see how SYdneysiders react to a non NSW final, i mean i take great pleasure in watching Non -Victorian teams slug it out in a AFL grand final and seeing those vics all , But then being an honest broncos fan i know they cant beat the storm, in fact i'll be blowed if they win a finals game fullstop! Im thinking maybe a Storm V Bulldogs final , but with the beauty of league...... anything is possible! My only wish is that the referee's lift their game !
  5. My best mate and I decided last minute to go for a quick getaway down to Fairy Meadow for a spot of camping out near the beach.. i whacked the old bodyboard and fishing rods in the car along with the tent and off we went . We arrived on location and the beach was in good nick considering the conditions so we threw out some pillies and some metal slices , not long after we hooked into a school of salmon, unfortunately they were all of smallish size but nonetheless still good fun on the light gear. After a while we decided to call it TEA on day 1 and we wnt off enjoyed the local resort indoor heated pool and spa and sauna Decided the 2nd session should fall at dark in hope of some tailor, by now the water had become quite rough but we decided to tough it out, on the way down i jammed my beach rod tip into the ground and the bastard snapped off my top guide , down to only my small raider i was to persist, standing in the knee high washes i got a good hit immediately , so i re-baited and entered back into the affray. I was too busy yakking to my mate to realise a big wave had pounded out in front and by the time i had realised that knee high water was about to become waist-chest height i was in no mans land... although i managed to keep my footing i was thoroughly drenched and after battling on for a few more mins i decided to call STUMPS, we got back to the car and i reached into my pocket .... only to find 1 set of keys after a desperate search of the beach by mobile phone light we gave up, drowned my sorrows with many but my worst fears were confirmed at sunrise when daylight could not even find my car keys... So there i am stranded in the Gong , 100kms from home without a key to my car! i did manage to get back home that day through a trusty friend who just so happened to be at Wollongong Uni and lives only 10 mins away , so armed with my spare key the return trip was made ( again via Trusty friend - thank god she goes to the uni of Gong ) , i couldnt resist temptation so i threw a slice onto my raider and found a nice gutter , a few casts later ZZZZZZ and then PING! the light gear was no match for the salmon hooked . Determined not to head home i pulled on the wetsuit and dragged the board out and managed the craziest bodyboarding session ever, some waves were absolute monsters after bout 45 mins i was absolutely stuffed from fighting the pounding mother ocean and called it a day...... now all i need is to get another car key
  6. Nothing wrong with the old AB Patterson ( BANJO) You only have to look at my musical repertoire to see how " talented" i really am 1. Triangle 2. Tambourine and 3. Harmonica Good thing i can sing ! NEXT ON THE AGENDA : The BAGPIPES
  7. Gday Folks, My name is Ian , im almost 22 years old and like all of you before me I LOVE FISHING. I was introduced to this wonderful site by my good mate Anth, (Loomy Lover) and have not looked back since. I cannot brag too much on my fishing exploits as i am somewhat quite ordinary but with some more help from you friendly people im sure i can improve. I attended the Bay Social which was a real highlight and met some of the crew ( i was very reserved that day due to the fact that i wasnt supposed to be there and was feeling rather guilty, but that is long gone so im open to more fishing and animation these days ) Big thanks again to Buster1 and CFD for all their help. Caught up with Kikila for an unfortunate non event ( Whats been happening mate? Hope your keeping well ). I live with my family out in Blacktown , i work part time in Hospitality as a Senior Waiter and Customer Service Operator and am currently half way through a Teaching degree at University. My interests include Sport which i am an absolute fanatic, i was a decent soccer player as a youth but injury cut me down , i still play at a reasonable level to this day, i also play cricket in the summer. I also like music and play when i get the chance, when saying play i sing. dont have a band at the moment though. I mostly fish off the stones and the sand but am always keen to expand my horizons, if u ever need company on a trip im always willing, drop me a line sometime! Cheers Ian
  8. Gday mate. Not sure if this information is of any use to you but here it is anyway.. I regularly hit that area 3-4 times a year ( Jervis Bay/ Booderee Nat Pk) and i can say that the fishing down that way is something that needs to be seen to believed. I only fish Land based from rocks/beach but have always come home with fish and many a time have had to throw back because i had enough caught already. I am planning a trip down there in the next 1-3 weeks for some more LB action , always willing to share the experience with fellow fisho's. As for boat reports i rarely read a bad one !
  9. Nice sambo mate was hoping his Sth coast cousins would come out to play today but alas it wasnt to be!
  10. the alarm sounded at 5am which signalled the beginning of the end of the beginning.... departed not long after with my best mate ( a non fisho) as my source of company. 1st snag eventuated trying to turn onto the m7 when i realised i had turned down the wrong way heading towards newcastle so i reversed up the ramp and busted a U turn to go the right way , this itself was only a minor problem, the major problem was now the big semi hurtling in my direction ... missed us by a whisker and we reacted in the only way imaginable ( and high fives) not a bad wake up call i must say! Anyway no further problems along the way, arrived on location around 7am. we were fishing very light armed with my trusty Raider and 2 ancient rods i managed to scratch up in the garage ( 1 was deadset about 30 yrs old), it was very quiet and FREEEEEZING for the 1st half hour or so but as the sun peeked over the backdrop of rocks and our numb hands given some warmth, my mate hooks up to a fish on you guessed it , THAT 70's ROD. It was only a pesky rock cod but i couldnt bear myself to take away his joy and we celebrated his 1st fish , minutes later he hooks up again on 70's and all of a sudden im 0-2 down and staring down the barrel of defeat . I managed to skip away within the next hour with 5 of the bast**ds and i left him to keep feeding the rodents while i tried for something palatable. had no luck chasing any bream or trevs in my little secret hole, then all of a sudden i see a mass of surface action not too far out, i quickly re-rigged up to a metal slice and chased the action but the samboz just didnt want a bar of that lure. The day was looking very poor on the fishing front, so i decided a little recess was on the cards, we pulled out my video camera and got some footage of some surfers and just enjoyed the scenery and kicked back and talked about our problems with the Miss Potentials , anyway decided to goof off and do a send up of old Rexy Hunt, so as i was yakking on and being smart about " bait selections and presentations" and " how to juggle the ladies " my rod was almost reefed out of my hands as a possible tailor/sambo struck my pilly and headed to NZ with it. My 4lb mainline didnt stand a chance as i was completely cleaned up , all on camera... and the look on my face as you can imagine PRICELESS. I beefed up to a 15lb leader and almost instantly hooked up to another solid fish , only for it to spit the hook mid fight... my mate was having a great time now filming all my frustration. The gods did shine on me about 10 mins later when i landed my PB Bream of 39cm on video We never did manage to land any other decent fish, but were busted off a few times ( im guessing some choppers) as i only brought very basic tackle and were fishing very light 2-4lb , we ended up with 20+ rock rubbish, the bream and 2 very ugly eels. But most importantly we had great fun, got some fresh air and cleared our heads ( conditions were BEAUTIFUL) and came home very relaxed and ready to do battle with the world again, Oh and the bug has bitten my mate so im keen to take him out for round 2 sometime soon best of luck to all fisho's this weekend, hope your fishing luck is better than mine tight lines to all Ian
  11. After a very long absence from the fishing scene theres a strong probability i will be back in action tomorrow . Was thinking just a smallish trip down to Kiama in the early morning fishing off beach/rocks. If anyone is in the area and would like to join us i would be more than obliged. Target species : anything edible
  12. that video is a classic i think i may incorporate to my juniors next season
  13. A bung leg ( earlier soccer injury ) prevented me from attending work last night ( how unfortunate ) so i literally "hopped" on a train with about 15 mates and we headed to the city-Destination THE AGINCOURT HOTEL . Arrived there about 8:30pm with first downed by 8.35pm the night proceeded slowly as the crowd built up , we entertained ourselves in the meantime watching the footy show special ( with no volume) then we put some great songs on the jukebox , won a game of football trivia and then took great delight in watching Japan draw 0-0 with Croatia. By then our army had asserted ourselves as the premier cheerleaders and we warmed up with some great songs. By now the place was packed and the doors had to be shut off. There were reporters and camera's everywhere , the first half we started well and i thought we had the best of the chances , going in 0-0 at halftime we were very very happy. Managed to score an interview with channel 9 ( kinda hoping it doesnt get aired! ) as well as get numerous photo's taken. Second half as you know was rather disappointing as they scored the early goal but the lads never gave up and went close to scoring more times than brazil , unfortunately none converted though, 0-1 would of been a feasible loss ( if a loss can be feasible) but the 2nd goal was not only freakishly unlucky but a real morale killer , i dont think i have heard a crowd silenced as much as that. So brazil won 2-0 , a result they know was lucky and it showed with the way the clowns carried on after goals and the final whistle. meanwhile the aussies can take heart from that performance it was a great display. 300-400 disappointed patrons trudged out of the hotel about 3.45am , we jumped on the nightride to Liverpool where we had departed, i enjoyed a quick nap before arriving at livo, jumped in my car and drove home and then got to sleep at the ungodly hour of about 6am. I will be desperately hoping for 2 things in the next week 1 - that the aussies can take a point or 3 against croatia to progress to the final 16 2- that ronaldinho gets absolutely chopped and breaks both legs, i cant stand the sight of that horse.
  14. Ahh yes my favourite month every 4 years has arrived !!!! The age old question you get asked at the start of every tournament... WHO WILL WIN? well Brazil being 5 times champions and ranked 1 current , it is going to be very hard to top them so naturally as a punter they are your safe bet , I will say Brazil because they play a very smart game HOWEVER it is no secret that south american sides struggle in europe so here are a few of my other selections. GERMANY - they are host nation , need i say more ? ENGLAND - fantastic side individually, and they are bound to win something ( or come close) soon! CZECH REP - awesome side to watch, injuries to key players may be costly other contenders include SWEDEN,POLAND,ITALY and dont be suprised to see an AFRICAN team do well and how will our AUSSIES fare ? you heard it here first - 2nd round all the way! enjoy this time gents and heres to many sleepless days ahead COME ON AUSSIES!
  15. Yeah i thought that the 1-1 final score while flattering for us, is a excellent result! Like Loomy i am football crazy ( being his neighbour as kids i think he can thank me for introducing the game to him ) and never miss an oppurtunity to watch my beloved Roo's play , even if it is cold and dark 3am kickoff times.. i have stocked up on NO DOZ tabs so i can stay awake during the WORLD CUP! anyways back to the game, we played well in patches, i thought our defence was superb but we were clearly outclassed by a better team. Still its a boost to know that even though we are outplayed we can still be competitive and push teams hard. ( i would of been devastated if VAN PERSIES free kick at the death had went in ... SOMEBODY BUY THAT SIDE POST A ) Also was frustrated at what i call the DD ( dutch dive) and there is no way WILKSHIRE deserved to be sent off! Oh and great to see Timmy and Schwarz in good form
  16. Mate, i know a TOP salmon spot down south which i am planning on going to soon in the next week or 2 more than welcome to join in. PM me for more details
  17. nice one mate, as proudly australian as i am i cant stand the wallabies! judging by the added pics the crowd looks very small.......
  18. As a cricketer and an opening batsmen you cant judge a batsmen from the opposition they are playing..... these guys are a TEST nation ( some will argue they shouldnt be ) its not like they are the local u/14's club side....... regardless Gillespies achievement was FKN AWESOME! ( none of his team mates could match him) and from personal experience the so called easy sides are often the hardest to score against!
  19. I did Mrs S........ my grandfather served in War and i always make an effort to stop and reflect in their memory
  20. Im hearing you there mate! Im not a chook or saints man but i would of loved to have something to watch whilst getting blind Oh well FR site is a worthy consolation!
  21. Egotistically speaking that will never happen in my case!
  22. Good report buddy! Nice to hear you and your mates getting into it, my mates dont want a bar of fishing...... always good 4 a beer though
  23. I'll second that femalefisho....... bring on another BB social ! For sure, last time was awesome!
  24. Nice work JP ! good to catch up after all this time. Will have to go fishing with you soon
