Hi All. The boys have saved up their pocket money & they wanted to buy their own rods. In the past they have been using my gear, mainly to see if they were interestd in fishing. They decided on beach rods. So I checked around for good prices. They bought Penn Prevail 2 10' 6'' spin rods at a good price. They will be able to use these rods at various places. I gave them a 4000 spin reel each. i also gave them a 500 metre roll of line each plus sinkers, hooks, swivels & a range of lures to get them started. They have seemed to picked up the fishing very well. Tme will tell. Cheers.

Just found out from my Mate's wife. My Mate went to the Doctor last week for his usual yearly checkup. The Doctor said to him you better have a blood test ,you haven't had one for a while. Result. First stages of prostate cancer. They say he will be ok with treatment . You never, never know. Get checked.

@blaxland Thats why I always take two rods. If something dosen't work, move on. Experiment I think we had four different baits & a stack of lures. I am an old Boy Scout. Be prepared. Cheers.

As they say a yearly check is the go. Make sure you have a blood test. Blood tests can show a lot of problems. Prostate is one of them. Cheers.
