Cant wait to see the official report! FUNNY - Jim decided to go land based for kings this morning off CLIFTON GARDENS. Rang me at 8 to say "funny al the social is on today" BUMMER - KEPT TELLING HIM IT WAS NEXT SUNDAY! Otherwise we would have both been there in the boat with bells on...OUCH

The funny thing is that the story was Jims - he posted it as he always does under my name Femalefisho instead of his Pacemode. The journalist would have realised this if he read down a little but i think he was contcentrating on the female fishing aspect.

Hi All, Went for a quick 1 hour bash with the young one at Gladesville on Saturday (late report) I had some fresh squid in the fridge so I grabbed a rod and a squid and of we went land based. We got there at 6.00 pm. I got my sons rod in the water for some bream so I can occupy him. I then threw out a squid head and waited. 10 minutes later a jew hit. It felt weird though. Gave me a small run followed by a screaming run towards the Gladesville bridge. It then went on a 100 meter FAST run and a line burn on my index finger. I thought hmmm - BIG jew or shark. Anyway I started to pump to slow the fish down. It stopped and then I was bringing it in but it felt weird ad light. I was confused. About 20 meters away from me on the surface I saw what I thought was a crab. Hmmm - very confused. As it got closer I noticed it was a Jewies HEAD . I brought it up and that was it. JUST a head. The jew would have been about 5-6 kg in size but it was no good to me now. An old man Terry took a pic on his digital camera and then walked over to the water line. THEN he saw it - right in front of us in 1 meter of water. A 2.5 meter Bull shark which was about 70 cm thick and I'd call it for 150 - 200 kg. I ran and had a look whilst controlling the young guy so he would not get close and fall in. The shark was about 2 meters away from us - ahhhhhh. It dissappeared then 5 minutes later came back again. I then decided to grab 2 x 10'os and 80 pound hand line that was in my bag. I rigged the Jew head on and threw it in - left it in for half an hour but the shark did not take it. MORAL of the story - Don't swim in Sydney Harbour at the moment - Tight lines ALL - looking forward to King comp!

Wow - sounds great. Have a massive freezer full of fish and that sounds like a great way to eat them differently. Especially seeing as Jim does not like fish he might eat it like that! YUM

Nice bream and it is always a bonus no matter what size to catch them on your new rod!!!

Few years ago Jim got stung. Went through his foot. Still got the scar. He said it was the most horrific pain, numb and light headed. He thought his foot must have got taken off at first cause the pain was so bad. Would not like to experience myself!!!

Yeh round the corner of mol and also at Mol in the morning - get heaps.
