  3. G'day Raiders, Heading down to Culburra tomorrow and wondering if it is worth a quick flick down there? Ill only be there till lunch time Thursday and will only have a small window of fishing time as i'm going to be there with a mate i haven't seen for 10 years while she is out here from the states for the next 2 weeks. (I can feel the fishing withdrawals already) So is it worth have a quick sesh really close by. I don't want to have to drive too far as it will cut into the fishing time. Ha Ha I know there are a lot of great fishing spots down that way but not necessarily close enough to Culburra to warrant the time i have. Any input or suggestions would be fantastic. Ill be land based. Cheers Tara
  4. Thank you Donna and stewy for organising and thanks to Pete for being a great tutor. Had a great day and was awesome to meet some Raiders. Cheers Tara Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  5. Iv had pretty good success walking the banks of the cooks in the last couple of weeks. Pretty much anywhere that you can walk along the bank is worth a few casts. Cheers Tara

  10. I've been fishing for them down the south coast for about the same size as those. This is only the first season I've tried for them and the biggest has been 37cm Cheers Tara Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  11. 5 hours is not a bad effort for someone recovering from man flu. Shame the fish didn't want to play today. Cheers Tara Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  12. I've had a lot of success on the zman grubs. In both the 2" and 2.5" greasy prawn seems to be the colour atm. Cheers Tara Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  17. Ha ha Swordy, I think your safe. And Jews up there yet.? Another bloke was asking me. Said he use to catch them up there when he was a kid. I said I didn't catch any so mustn't be up there yet. Hahaha. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  18. G'day Raiders, Got a leave pass from work today so headed back down to the cooks, between tempe and marrickville this time. Arrived just before low tide and started chucking around the SP'S. First fish a Taylor? Not bad at just over 30cm a good fight in that one. Next was a decent bream also at about 30cm. After that a small flatty. I'd only moved about 20 metres up the bank. Had to go for a bit of a walk over to the Canoe club then. 2 casts and something was RUNNING. Had to walk up and down the wall a bit to keep him on and I was calling it for a stonker bream or a small jew. Flashes of silver and I haul up a 41cm trevally? This thing put up an awesome fight. Great fun. And a first for me. Followed by a few more small bream and plenty of snags and lost plastics. A wide range of plastics used. Slimswims in watermelon may have just caught a few more fish than others but the grubs and small paddle tail type did pretty good as well. 1/8th and 1/12th jig heads.
