  1. Leo, 2 things : 100 mtrs seems a lot for your size boat, and I find that 6mm is too hard to handle as in too thin. I personally prefer 10mm rope as I find it easier to grab. Don't forget that 99% of the time you will be retrieving the anchor rope under strain, so if it's a bit thicker it's easier on your hands. Just my opinion. Tuffy.
  2. Reminds me of the movie , " Sexy Beast ". Aggressive looking piece of equipment. Tuffy
  3. Steve, I have some U channel but it's only 50 mm inside the U. Welcome to some if that's any good to you. I've got a piece about 2 mtrs long - easy to cut. Let me know. Russ.
  4. The keel..........! Tuffy
  5. Steve, is that 60mm inside the U ? I might have some at home - will check tomorrow and let you know. Russ
  6. Dave, I run a Honda but would be just as happy to run a Yammie. Have researched both and there is bugger-all between them. Just that the dealer who I bought from was a Honda dealer, not Yammie. You won't go wrong with either and both have factory representation here in Aus for any warranty claims - if ever needed that is. Cheers, Tuffy
  7. How do you plan on doing that, mate ? Tuffy
  8. An ongoing annual and costly, but necessary, business expense. Hope you sold a lot of boats Huey. It's a lot of work planning and setting up etc, plus organising all your crew to deliver and return the stock from the show, but you have to be there to maintain an advantage. Long days, too, 9 to 9. Feet get tired , don't they. Tuffy.
  9. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Pearl Perch, the BEST eating fish in the sea - bar none !!! Bloody envious I am !! Would gladly swap a 9kg Snapper for a 4kg Pearly any day. Tuffy.
  10. Don't know where this came from - Exhibitors don't have to pay for entry - they are allocated a number of passes depending on their requirements, and that may have something to do with the amount of space they have purchased. Either way Huey's crew won't pay for entry like normal punters - unless rules have changed in 2011. Tuffy.
  11. Short answer is , in 90% of cases, Yes. But follow Geoff's advice and only purchase the SE Sport or the Permatrim. The others are just crap. Tuffy
  12. Sounds like an old De Haviland to me. They were made using rivets. Don't forget there is nothing wrong with that system. Most aircraft are put together in exactly the same fashion. Tuffy.
  13. I know why Sparky wants an electric reel. Even though he is reeaally old, it's not because of that. Somebody ask him when he is getting the plaster off !!!!!!! Tuffy.

    T - Tops

What are you going to do with it when you take it off, Rainman? Tuffy
  15. Dave, I don't think you need to buy the complete system. If you ring BLA they should be able to give you the answer, although you won't be able to buy direct from them - need to go through a dealer. I only just today rang them re my Seastar hydraulic cylinder on the motor which I just bent !!! Any way, I can just buy that part from them, but through a dealer. Tuffy
  16. Pred -ator, I believe there is a number stamped on the back of the ignition switch and if you give that number to any Merc dealer they will be able to issue a replacement key for you. Let us all know. Cheers, Tuffy.

    T - Tops

Yeah, well, my thoughts were to try and get like a kind of para-sail effect, so when it gets really choppy I can just speed up and skim over the rough water. Good idea? any way Squidboy, don't you talk - I'm not the one with all the Go-karts!! And Cheap Charlie, about $360 all up.

    T - Tops

Hey fellow Raiders, I am thinking about fitting a T-Top to my centre console and I have been having a look at the kit version available at Bias. Has anyone had any experience with these units? I would like to know how stable they are, and also how they fit around the controls which are mounted on the side of the console. My console is the same as the one pictured and the T-Top is the one I am considering. Any feedback would be great. Cheers, Tuffy.
  19. What else do you get for $2500 - not much. Not a bad old hull the Nautiglass and for that price you will always get your money back on resale. Just do it. Fishraider Sparky and I used to own exactly the same boat years ago. Tuffy

    Sea maps

All the data you need is featured on the Admiralty Charts which are available from Mapworld at Parramatta, although I think they may have another location. Not that expensive, once bought you've got them forever. Tuffy
  21. Welcome to Fishraider, champ, oh, and nice boat you've brought back with you. Tuffy.
  22. I would recommend using a float around there, or very little lead - very snaggy bottom. Correct bait and time of day you might catch a jewie. Good hunting. Tuffy
  23. Unfortunately I don't think it will. There will always be another goose around the corner who thinks he is smarter than the rest. That's called the "f###wit factor". Tuffy
  24. I have now done 5 floors in 5 different boats and have used Everdure 2 pack epoxy sealer on every occasion. Current floor is now 6 yrs old and is like it was when originally fitted. Sealed both sides and all edges with Everdure and carpeted with marine carpet adhered with normal contact adhesive. All as new to this day. Available at Whitworths. Look no further, Stony. Cheers, Tuffy.
