Why did you knock the new job back?

They lied to me twice telling me it was peranent straight away when it wasn't.

That broke the deal and a few other things main one being I thought the general manager and his 3 supervisors I dealt with at the walk through were absolute you know what's.

I told them at the walk through/site interview they were a bunch of you know what's and left thanking them for their time and wasting mine.

I don't play around mate and will tell anyone exact what I think.

     Their loss not mine.

Is this the new job @Fab1? Geez you are into the non work activities already!

I sacked a few on night shift over the years. Was "fun" waking them up :busted_cop:

No,I got the new job and knocked it back. They didn't allow sleeping.🤣😂I don't sleep but my Team Leader and Supervisor put sleepy Smurf to shame in that department.🤣😂

There's always spoil sports at every workplace Donna.😂 like I said every one knows what we do including upper management. We get our work done in between all the stuff that goes on.

Well at least you're awake then. At my first workplace two future managers were caught sleeping on night shift. Many years later at a management meeting the subject came up. One manager goes 'we're not paying them to sleep - sack them'! One of the two I referred to goes 'oh no, you cant do that'.

    🤣😂

People used to make their own fishing reels on work time in the old days. They were called 'bench models'. Shop level supervisors used to encourage this sort of thing when things were quiet. Keep their skills up and the senior management just saw busy workers:

We multiiskill on work time.We play cards, darts, have cook ups,sit outside looking at the stars, dream of catching Yowies fish....

No one cares as we get our work done.

There's a bloke we call horse(Get your mind out the gutter) he sleeps standing up.🤣😂

Is that double line, or just a funny shadow? never been a fan of snelled hooks myself.

    Shadow mate.

Are they the hooks you stole off Yowie ?

Yes,while he was away I took all his hooks and just left his line.I bet the bloody fish tie his line around their necks in a noose and still end up in his boat!!!🤣🤣Bloody Yowie.

  6. Unfortunately only you know the answer to your question. I'd save my pennies and buy a brand new Bmt.

If you can afford 35k like you say your at the brand new price range pretty much if not a few k short.

Second hand cars, boats, etc is a mugs game in this day and age I think personally when it's so easy to buy brand new, service loans etc.

But saying that I understand the need to buy second hand.Just not my cup of tea for expensive items like boats!!

  7. Good post mate. The only people I have that I can count on when the chips are down is my immediate family and that's all we need.

We don't have "friends".We keep to ourselves.Yes,we know people at work and outside but that's what they are....People we know.

I will still be fishing in the tinny (won't cost much), however, the cruiser will cost a bit more to tow the van, but I won't be giving the touring away, and need the cruiser to tow the van anyway.

One of the pros of living on the water mate if your into fishing.

I live 1hr+ away in all directions.

It doesn't matter how much fuel is, we will just whinge about it, and fill the car/boat anyway, there might be a handful of people buy a smaller car something, but, in the main, it will be just business as usual.

They know we have 2 options....drive or don't and most people will continue to do so and just go without somewhere else.Sad part is people are going to go without food.

Wanted:        2 story house with pool and double carport.

Willing to swap 100 litres of premium diesel or premium petrol for it.  🤣

It's getting to that stage.I saw a car for sale that read $10,500 o.n.o. and underneath it said $11,500 with a full tank of fuel.🤣🤣

Headed out port hacking towards bundeena/jibbon for a bait gathering trip. I put The kayak in tea coloured water at 2pm and headed over to bundeena/jibbon. Water was murky but not to bad off jibbon. Flicked squid jigs around for 3 hours for absolutely nothing, a lot of bait fish busting up but I didn’t bring any hooks, bait etc.

heading in I stumbled upon a very thick and very hungry school of kings just inside of the mouth of gunnamatta in the channel where the ferry runs. Easily a few hundred meters of fish flying out of the water smashing bait.
now I was really kicking myself for not bringing anything besides squid jigs. It was hard to paddle through them just watching them breaking the surface around me, quite surreal in all honesty. Now I’m kinda tempted for a king trip tomorrow

I pm'd the kings to let them know they can come out and play Yowie isn't there.Good stuff getting out mate.

There is one exception and that is T A FISHING it's a pommy guy old chap like me and he does all his own filming editing and everything, he does have music in his videos but it is at the same volume level as his voice and I don't mind that.

Probably why it's one of the few fishing videos I bother to watch.

TV adds don't bother me as I don't watch T V . anything I want to watch on T V ( which is not much ) I tape and watch at a later time and I skip through the adds.

    Frank

Old Grahame and Mike.Been watching since first episode. He loves his pallet wood.😂😂Fish Lockyer is doing well too.

     Been going 10yrs already.

Yeah, it's a great spot, good fishing on the beach (when the swell is normal) reasonable rock fishing straight across the road, and the boat ramp is only about 2klm away, Lake Illawarra for crabbing is about 5min, so all in all pretty good. Mind you, I have lived here all my life, I could never afford to buy in the area these days.

Did I mention I nearly bought a house in Shell cove in 2000? Still giving myself a upper cut.

Hi guys. I have been watching a few more than usual Utube videos lately and although not new I have been getting very irritated about the volume of music in the videos. And it's not a one of thing it's every bloody video going about. You are listening to the commentary and watching a nice tranquil scene and all of a sudden the music starts blaring out and almost knocks you off the chair.

Why is the music always 5 times the volume of the rest of the video, I get sick and tired of adjusting the sound up to hear what is being talked about then have to turn the sound way down low when the music comes on.

Don't these people that make the video's watch them ?.

Is it just me cause I am an old grump OR do others find it irritating ?.

Movies are the same, they whisper so low you can't hear the story line and then action starts and the music is deafening.

    Frank

Do what I do.If the music annoys me within seconds I switch off.Pet hate of mine regardless of how good the video is.(After I've brought it to their attention).

Music has spoilt some fantastic videos over the years for me and they've lost a subscriber.Their loss not mine.

I tell them in comments. When I know they've seen comments or comment back and next video is the same it's hasta la vista.

Life's too short to worry about idiots like that mate.

God's country.Give me the gong anyday compared to the city. You couldn't give me a house for free in the city to live amongst the rats.

     Great spot mate.
