  4. you cant even do that, it has gotten so bad that there is absolutley no water to be used externally, your not even allowed to wash your car with a watering can...it must be pretty serious..
  5. Yeah i read that in the local paper when i was in lake macquarie on the weekend, apparently the central coast water level is on par with goulburn which is F all. I guess you could go to a car detailer or a car wash and give them 5 bux to use their hose for 5 mins, they are allowed to keep using water for business purposes, other that thats the only option you have i think.
  6. Thanks James, Yeah ill being keeping bait for sure, ill have to go buy some squid jigs this sarv...Do you need a hand with the boat during the week? are you stocked up on tackle? i was thinking of hitting windybanks on the saturday morning and stocking up if ya wanna come.. Cheers Joe

  14. no worries about the berley trail John, anytime you need one just give me a call ...ill remember to take a kwell next time... Yeh it was certainly a good day out, despite the fact i spewed for 50% of it, Fishfinders skipper Ian does a great job and is a real entertainer/funny bastard. Those fish certainly cooked up a treat last night, thanks for organising john
  15. well i tested my spiral wrap on fishfinder charter today (when i wasnt spewing, you will probably hear about that in coolomon's report later on..), and i can definately say i have turned to spiral wrap, the action of the rod was to clean and crisp, and curv in the rod was perfect, the rod was always locked in position and just felt unlike anything i have used before, i think exact guide placement is the key to a good spiral wrap and i reckon rohit has this down to a tee....i reccomend everyone try one...
  16. yeah i cant bloody wait! did you get your reel yet?.....anyone know how the weather is looking for saturday?
  17. I know where im fishin on the weekend....
  18. Im no king expert, but i dont reckon theyll be back in force until late Nov early Dec....but i have been wrong once before
  19. Top work guys well done on your first YFT james....
  20. i love those red fin did you cook em up? top eating fish..... flattieman, are red fin related to blackfish?
  21. is evil coming on charter? nice! you can have a go on mine as well
  22. youll get 300 yds of 30 pound braid on it, go and check one out at a tackle store, i dont know if our sponsors stock them?? But i get mine from windybanks tackle at mt colah casue its the closest shop to me. I realy think this reel would be a goer for you... thats how i learnt to cast bigger overheads, with the ratchet on, but i kept mulchin the ratchet springs, so i gave that away pretty quick lol
  23. Nectic, Why is casting with lever drag a problem??, i have a LD bait caster (ABU 7000LD Big Game) and it works like a dream, this is mounted to my 12ft daiwa for beach, and will also work a treat on a heavy 6ft boat rod, this reel im my opinion is the best all rounder, over sized water proof lever drag, recommended up to 50 pound braid, mechanical brake blocks for casting, and is also fit to to drag in a YFT on a heavier game rod, it retails for 280-300 but if you shop around you could pick one up for 250 i reckon, this is the reel for you Evil.
  24. Hey mate Are you after a threadline or overhead setup? what rod are you mounting it on? If you are after overhead i recommend ABU 6000,6500,7000 depending on what rod your mounting it on, awsome beach fishing reel, casts like a dream. As for mono ot braid, im a braid man myself, but others prefer mono...braid is stronger and lighter, and no memory. Mono its stronger when it comes to nicks and abrasions though, mono is heavier, has memory, stretches. Its person experience, try both and see which one you like better.... Cheers
