  8. Growing up in port macquarie its pretty much just a standard run of the mill thing that you do, water everywhere, plenty of fish to catch, why not hey....also have a dam on our farm full of silver perch which we put in there which are pretty fun to catch if your bored.... I sought of stopped fishing around the 16 to 21 year old mark as i was more interested in chasing skirt than fishing...but now have gotten right back into it..
  9. Where the colo river meets the hawksbury, anywhere around that area...plentiful...take some ecogear SX40's, spinner baits and poppers, youll be laughing use the SX40 for flicking in and around the snags.....spinner baits for drop offs and holes...and the poppers over weed beds...

  11. Hey mate, i have only just got into bass fishing and its bloody fun!! I just went on a bass trip with a few guys that really know what they are doing....from what i have picked up off them this is what i reckon....get the smallest lightest outfit you can find, I just bought a browning reel Aa405, which is the smallest little pin ass reel i have ever seen and mounted it on a 6 ft bass pro shop IM7 graphite rod, I have 1.8kg braid with 4 pound flurocarbon leader....so yeah...get a really light out fit that can cast tiny lures for miles... ill show you a pic of my outfit in a sec...
  12. Hey guys, Never been bass fishin before today, but ill definately be doing it again...a mate took me out to his spot x at colo river, my mates 3rd cast in to a nice snag with a bit of weed around it, a few gentle twitches and bang first bass of the day a nice 39cm specimen pictured below...After that walked up and down the colo catching small ones around the 15-20cm mark...i have never caught a bass before they are aggressive little buggers when they smash the lure.... the weapon of choice that did all the damage was a dan mcgrath attack. cheers Joe

  17. Hey mate, bait jigs are the way to go.....i burley up with pellets bought from the tackle shop, slice up little pillie pieces about the size of your small fingernail and put them on the bait jig hooks, this method landed me about 35 livies before the jew social, highly recomend it...
