That is one mighty awsome boat, pity it wont catch much fish. Stick with me here for the reasons 1) It looks so good the fish will know its awsome fish catching power and run away. 2) It looks so good every boat within 500 meters will come over to have a closer look and therefore scare the fish away. No seriously, you should be very happy and we are all very envious.

I've got the same motor, 115 4st Merc the clunk only happens if I move it into gear too slowly. Don't be shy, if you want forward "do it" positvley and smoothly (same for reverse).

Ok guys (or gals), I've just got my fishraider stickers and am stuck(exuse the pun) as where to place them on the boat. Where have you put yours and can you post a photo showing us? My thoughts were either side towards the rear or on the transom above the pod.

Hi Namesay / Netic, what size ball do you use on your downrigger? I remember reading somewhere that you had a few different sizes but which is the most common that you use in MH? Also I get the message - troll slowly, what is the maximum knots that you would troll at / recommend? Thanks heaps for all the information you guys are giving us mortals, I think at the social you will be like the pied piper with all us rats following you!

Count me in, this will be my first social as I have not been able to make the dates of previous socials. Looking at the photos and comments from everyone they sound great. I will be in my boat, will let you know who deckie is later. Netic, could you post a diagram / instructions of your rig I would like to have a go at making them myself, you know the old addage - give a man a fish feed him once, teach a man to fish feed him for ever. Also, any chance of getting some fishraider stickers on the day?

Sorry to hear that, but yes there is a lock you can get I have one on mine I got it from Solas. The system works the same as lock nuts for the wheels on your car, without the 'key' it just spins a hub. Check out the link, cost is $99 http://www.solas.com.au/shopdisplayproduct...Propeller+Locks

Wow looks great a real good job, she certainly looks new. What did you do with the front hatch? In the old photo it looks like it was perspex but in the current I can't see a hatch at all?

Names of my boats: 1982 haines 565L with 175 evinrude was called Rage'N it was fast. 1995 33ft riviera flybridge was called Stress Relief, we spent every weekend on her. 1985 stacer 445 with 55hp suzuki was called Small Fry, it was little. Current boat, 2005 Quintrex 530 spirit with 115hp 4st merc called Gone Wishin because I keep wishin I catch that monster fish.

I've got the Epix baitrunner in the 40 size, it is excellent,very smooth and balanced. I've just bought another Okuma a Inspiron 30 (11 stainless bearings) Most of my reels are shimano but you are now paying for the name, getting too expensive the Okuma have impressed me, price is good and they seem to be top quality. I've had the Epix for 3 years now and it works like a charm no regrets at all.
