    Disaster

Mate, that would really suck. BUT i have a story to go with the damage.......... Say you hooked a 500lb bluemarlin whilst live baiting for flatties at spot X, you got him to the boat, he shook his head did his damage then the trace failed...................ohhh bugger the one that got away. cheers james
  2. Well the old haines hunter 580slf with twiwn 90 yammy 2 strokes trolling for about 6 hours sitting between 6.5-7.5 knots th whole time, alternating between each motor we used a staggering 110liters of fuel. That was motoring from cooks river ramp- mol point- close fad trolling from close fad to about 7 miles off south head(botany) then back to close fad then home. Really heavy drinker The new rig with a 150hp yammy 4stk uses 4 liters an hour at various rpm's/speeds (under run in time), but once run in time is over i will be able to give you a better idea on how much fuel it uses (hopefully beter thn 4 liters) cheers james

  14. Hi guys Hit the bay today Left cooks river ramp at 10am straight to mol point. Fished mol point for a good 2 hours for a coupla lil pinkies (i mean little) and dad had a good run but dropped it. We were not using burly so our results would have been better if we did burly. Headed over to the oilwharf fished for about a hour or so for a few lil pinkies again and a OK sized flounder. Decided to have a cruise up the georges to get some hours up on the motor for the 10 hour service, met CFD and sammy0084 at oatley to show them the new rig, from there went back home. The water started off ok then the wind picked up for abit, at about 3.30 the bay was flat as a tack, i wish i was out there now cheers james P.S keep an eye out for all the waterways and police we spotted several authorites boats out there, more than normal.
