  1. What happens to the grease after time though? When people say top up your bearings, aren't you just forcing more grease in and eventually your either gonna pop a rear seal or a bearing buddy?
  2. Last time I had this issue was because the hub needed replacement. I have always had bearing buddies and never had issues with them. Once I replaced the hubs, nothing ever went wrong. On the other hand, a lot of people will argue that you don't need bearing buddies.

    How useful

This can go both ways though. If you invite someone, your not going to say Pay to get on. And the way I see it, I was going to take the boat out anyway!
  4. Not a bad idea to test them out early, don't want to try and work it out during an emergency!
  5. Hi mate, I did a Tournament 2000 which is 6.25m from brusbane to seven hills on a truck for just under $1k about a yr and a half ago. Keep looking. I will also find the number I used. I sent it to someone here

    And a bilge pump?!
  8. I had to call them and remind them
  9. You can upload up to 4.88MB of files (Max. single file size: 4.88MB) You probably need to compress your photos a bit more!
  10. Strange. I had a 70dv. I'm pretty sure that had its own fuse built in at the back. Mine was just wired straight to the distributed block. Had it for a few months, never got white lines.
  11. Mine gets the full love treatment no matter what time it is. I had a 2002 seafarer. At the ramp it always got compliments. Earlier this year some guy asked me how old my boat was thinking it was just months old haha. I bought a brush from superchip about 30cm wide on a stick. Helps speed it all up.
  12. Hahahaha mate did you make this up? Funny either way!
  13. Was thinking of going during the easter break on the way to buy a ride on lawn mower, but I don't think I will be doing that anymore. But still would like to check it out! Looks nice!
  14. I am fortunate to have my boat kept in the industrial estate. Although I don't think my neighbours would complain as we are in the hills and there is always lawn mowers going off anyway. See if you can find an industrial site or make friends with the regular servo. I used to go to my servo and run my motor there for a few minutes.
  15. Has anyone gone fishing here? Might be doing a trip to dubbo and this place looks ok to camp at! ANy tips if I decide to stay and fish the lake? Will be land based!
  16. Can you get a discount? I'm just up the road!
  17. Thanks for replies so far! Will be gutting around 2.5 acres. The current owner cuts it in 3hrs with a 42" deck. He is a mechanic and is happy with JD but i always thought Victa was a good brand. Some people have mentioned cox too as being good!
  18. Hi guys, Bit off topic here but wondering if anyone has used these machines. Parents have recently bought a rural property. We know nothing about ride ons. Looking at a victa spx 23/52 or a john Deere d140. So the victa has a 23hp Briggs motor with a 52 inch diameter. John Deere has a 22hp with a 48" diameter. Anyone can suggest which one is better in terms of reliability, parts etc? Thanks.
  19. Below sea level North head maybe, or people try around vaucluse cliffs
  20. Check out Extreme boats! They look great too!
  21. That's me, use roam and for that ramp! Thanks, I will have a look!
  22. What book is that? never came across that!
  23. Mate for your first boat, I understand you don't want to spend much. But by doing that you might have to by repairing things you are not aware of yet. I suggest you keep saving and buy something a little better, least you will enjoy it and your first memory of boating won't be bailing water out of the hull while sinking rapidly

    Flat battery?

I never charge my batteries as I am always out on the water. I always start my motor at home before I go to the ramp. At least that way, hopefully you went forget your keys to the boat either THis poor guy once brought down his brand new boat to Berowra from the blue mountains, went to start it... no key
