great catch there mate even if it wasn't what you were targetting usually i get cat fish as by catch so i wouldnt really mind if i got some jewies as by catch

maybe its the location where do you fish? i mainly fish the northern beaches and central coast and i always get a good amount of salmon in winter but not one salmon in summer, so in summer i just target bream, whiting etc of the beaches
