Hey Joe, if your'e out there in cyberspace somewhere, ONYA!!!! That is a good fish Joe, contact you soon, putting that flyrod to good use I hope!

  3. well done Blackant, persistency pays off.
  4. Thanks Tyronne, getting closer, just waiting for some feedback from other sources as well, but the Motor Guide is looking good, cheers Ken
  5. Thanks Tyronne, I may have asked you this b4, but how do you find the steering, response and power of the motor you have? cheers Ken
  6. Too right Adrian, I'm not complaining, would be nice to land one...even just a little one. Well done on the king Pete, thanks for the info on the flyfishing, the salmon probably came around with the change of tide perhaps. cheers Ken
  7. Sorry cant make this one Tyronne, will be up at Port Stephens, got that photo of your leccy mate?
  8. Hi Pete, I was around there early this morning and there was nothing happening on the surface, maybe the schools came round after I left Did you notice if they were fishing deep or on the surface? BTW, how'd you go? cheers Ken
  9. Hi Mark, yeh, thats fishing though, did well the last two times, so still happy.
  10. G'day Raiders, it was a classic morning with just a slight breeze and hardly any swell. that meant I could take the tinny out the Heads! To my slight disappointment after reading some encouraging reports from Mark and others re still a few salmon about, I was keen to latch onto a few late season salmon on fly. Unfortunately, the salmon gods probably thought I had had enough on the previous few outings and I didnt even see their faces slurping bait off the surface. On the water at 5 a.m. and home by 10 a.m., keep the Mrs happy at least. Oh well, such is fishing, but at least, I can say, it was nice to be on the water, how true that was today. Have a good one guys, Socceroos to win on Wednesday!
  11. Great report, sure sounds like a good return to home.
  12. I dont want to ruin your record attempt Phil, but what do you reckon of this one, caught about a year ago.
  13. Nice one there Ankles, good stuff.
  14. Nice one James, looks like might be up for an early start.
  15. Thats a great report Mark, well done to you and Phil, good to hear the salmon are still around, kingies too mate, good. Mid week fishing is the best, no boats and no crowds. Well done on a successful day.
  16. Great fish from the both of you, well done, have to get down there again myself soon after those reports!
  17. Good one Grant, 30 degrees is warm, sounds like some good bream there.
  18. Nice fish Jewel, sounds like a good session. I was in Middle Harbour this afternoon and the water was 22 degrees, no good on the fishing front though.
  19. Doing a good job Nick, and lots of good suggestions everyone. Here's a pic of the eyes, I'll make up a couple of colours, they are a bit rough but the salmon seem to like the red ones. Iv'e caught over 10 salmon on the small red one so far in the two latest outings now, missing a bit of deer hair, but is still good for a fish or two.
  20. G'day Shane, Iv'e got the Shakespeare waders, they do the job, I wear trackies or light long pants under them as they seem to stick to your legs when it gets warmer. Mine have a few patches from tears over the years, but they are easy to repair. Had mine for 3 years already, had plenty of use out of them. The more expensive ones look good and are more durable, but are costly. Iv'e got the Mako sunnies, great vision for spotting fish.
  21. Yep, your'e doing a good job Nick, keep going. I'll put my hand up to tie some eye flies, they've been successful on the salmon so far this season, sounds good guys.
  22. well done Phil and mark, good to hear a few were caught and the sambos are still hanging around. Wont be able to get amongst them myself for a while.
  23. It was a great day, thanks heaps to George who organised the whole thing and for supplying the tarp as well. It was great meeting all the Fishraiders that I hadnt met before and catching up with everyone else, what a bunch of great guys and gals. Well done to Lightweight for winning the outfit, it was worth the drive down from Newcastle. I reckon it was a big success as well Joe, thanks to ABA for supplying the prize and to everyone who made the effort to come on this wet but wonderful day. I was surprised how many people turned up in the wet conditions, just goes to show, everyone was keen to learn a little about flyfishing. Thanks again to everyone for coming, we should do it again soon. Dont forget, get those rods into action and catch some fish! cheers
