I love a long fishing session and time flys whilst your out on the water. Nackered??? Nah, especially if it was a productive trip! What is sleep? I'm a baker and live by this motto. "There's plenty of time to sleep when your dead, because your dead a long time!" Add that to 4 very active kids and my desire to go fishing every spare minute I can. I really don't have time to be tired. Cheers scratchie!!!

What a great report of an epic trip to NZ. Managing to squeeze those 3 fishing breaks into a family holiday is quite a feat. You killed it on the salmon and those trout are quality. My heritage is from Queenstown and it certainly insipires some memories! Thanks for sharing and well done Cheers scratchie!!!

I've always been of the belief that your leader should be one and half times the length of your rod. Your trace varies depending on your method, bait, live baiting etc. If your throwing lures, I always tie it straight though to the leader. Cheers scratchie!!!

To be fair, sometimes short notice doesn't work for most people. Why don't you try one of the wharves around Sydney. They are generally well lit and can be productive at times! Hope that helps. Cheers scratchie!!! P.s your avatar looks scary!

Nice occy! High underrated IMO. Prepared and cooked right make a bloody fantastic meal. I often order it in restaurants when I get the chance but not many do it well. Sounds like a good couple of days fishing. Well done! Cheers scratchie!!!

I've landed some big fish on it too, hence why I was using it. It was no match for the reef though. that's fishing! I haven't heard about zenith but there's more productive spots than that anyway.
