  1. Dont forget the rule on my boat ! He Who Cacthes the Most , Cleans the Boat !! Well done Little Jnr ....Cheers Sasha! The boys cleaned the boat and ate most of the fish too!
  2. Plenty about Craig but you have to find them. They were all caught on prawns because the tide was wrong to pump nippers! Let me know when your about!
  3. Cheers guys! It's nice to bring home a feed now and then! Sorry JD, I sent you an invite
  4. Very funny chris! I'm sure we've all had our fair share of mystery fish. I know I've had a few meter+ flathead that turned into small logs! Cheers scratchie!!!
  5. No mate, soldiers point! They've upgraded the facilities there! Still can't get rid off those pesky pelicans though! Though they had a good feed this arvo!
  6. G'day raiders, Just a quick report from the bay. I've been hanging to get the boat out for the past few weeks and as usual on my days off, there's either sport or crap weather. So last night the boys and I hatched a plan to go out in the bay and target some whiting. Juniors mate has never caught one, so we set out to change that. First we drifted for a few flatty but they didn't want to come and play. So we went looking for our target! It took a while to find them but we eventually hit our target landing quite a few and getting my sons mate the first of many! The best bit was yet to come as we sat down for an early dinner of beer battered whiting! It was a nice day out on the water with the boys, they were well behaved and even cleaned the boat at the end of the day! Well done lads! Cheers scratchie!!!
  7. Done. Does it matter if I lied about my age? At the time I felt like a 25yo! lol
  8. Firstly, no marine parks up here are marked clearly. You will have to rely on maps and they are very strict. Shoal bay has a ramp itself and is very easy to use for a boat your size. But my suggestion to you would be to put on at soldiers point and drift the islands and work the rock walls and surrounds. I'd be happy to take you out and guide you around for a day! Cheers scratchie!!!

Hey mate, I would love too but geography plays it part! I've been following the ponies since I was too young and after working at the casino for 11 years I met many a race owner! One that sticks in my mind is the owner of "racing to win". I won't divulge his name but he's tipped me many of winners. Good luck though because it's like fishing! Anyone can be successful on their day! And you always remember those good days! Cheers scratchie!!!
  11. Good on ya Sasha! For those of us that fish regularly sometimes need to be reminded that just hooking up to a fish whether it's a target species or not enjoy the battle! Your father-in-law looks quiet happy, so mission accomplished! Thanks for sharing! Cheers scratchie!!!
  12. I agree 4myson! Fishing monthly is the best read I use. It gives you a fair idea, north and south of where I live!
  13. No mate! I'm not good enough to get an invite!
  14. That's a great result! It's good to see customer service still alive and kicking these days! It makes you want to buy the same brand again! Well done shimano! Cheers scratchie!!!
  15. I gave you one last week and hopefully again after this weekend! For the record, when nothing else works, I taught dom the secret of broughton island snapper!
  16. That's a very humble report dom! Let me finish it for you because you well and truly kicked some arse! Not only did you won the tournament (male angler) but you and your mate also won the team award as well. Raiders, this was no fluke! Dom also won this tournament last year as well with a cracking 88cm red. So to go back to back is a real effort in itself! Well done champion! As he said, he loves his snapper fishing and he is the "snapper whisperer". See my previous post of my time fishing with him. That time was a snapper on a popper! Sorry to embarrass you mate, but your report was underwhelming! Catch ya soon buddy! Cheers scratchie!!!
  17. John, you've hit the nail on the head. When taking kids fishing, it's important they catch something. Size is irrelevant, although it is great watching their faces when the line is peeling drag! I've never been to Britain but the weather looks exactly how I picture it! Pretty much, Melbourne weather! Thanks for sharing! Cheers scratchie!!!
  18. Spot on swordy! Heaps of locals there and lots are Fishraiders!
  19. Perch, Just do a site search and you should come up with plenty. Up there a great spot to try sp's and hardbodies! Cheers scratchie!!!
  20. Great to see you got amongst a few Arthur. The breakwall can be very packed at times but is probably the most productive spot for blackfish up here. (Other than some rock ledges, fair walk) The locals are also a hit or miss but sounds like you found a nice fella. Hope you enjoy your time up here, sorry about the weather. Cheers scratchie!!!
  21. Yeah, more than likely but the image provokes thought!
