  1. Great first post Foz! And an awesome dolly to go with it. Welcome from behind the scenes and hope to see a lot more posts! Cheers scratchie!!!
  2. Nice little cafe/bar that one. Been there a few times! There's always people fishing from the wharf around it. Very distracting whilst eating because when I see a bent rod I've got to get up and go see what they caught! Lol Cheers scratchie!!!
  3. Thanks for the replies! He's mad keen on fishing! (Don't where he gets that from) Very persistent little kid who doesn't know when to give up. He was very proud of his catch but the big problem will be getting him to eat it! Oh well, more for me!
  4. G'day raiders, Just a quick report for the young fella. Took him down the stones for a quick hour of fishing. I was just using sp's but only landing pike. The little man says "can I use the squid jig?" Sure mate. He says I want to try and catch that squid that took your livey the other day. Well after a few casts, mission accomplished! Well done jnr! Cheers scratchie!!!
  5. Shhhh, you can't tell anyone! Lol. The breakwall is certainly one of the most productive spots in the bay land based. It's also a great place to take the kids with relative safety and the chance of landing a decent fish! 3 weeks ago my mate landed a 22kg Jew there and we are only 2 months away from the monster kings that frequent the wall. But good luck stopping those big boys! Glad the family had a great time and caught a few! Cheers scratchie!!!
  6. Well done Adam. You can tell by your post that your a wee bit excited by that first kingy and so you should be! Congrats Cheers scratchie!!!
  7. Great stuff there mate! It's days like that with the young ones that no one minds been a spectator! Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  8. Great stuff mr groper! Good to see you back on the fish and getting a few! Nothing like a feed of reds. It's been a pretty good season for them! Lots of them up here too. Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  9. Unlucky Gerry! Better to know in pittwater than find out at heatons. Enjoy the boat show Cheers scratchie!!!
  10. Definitely łate Gerry. If I had of known yesterday the apprentice would be working his butt off tomorrow while I took a trip south! Good luck champion, doesn't sound like many out there so you've got the playground to yourself! Tails up! Cheers scratchie!!!
  11. I agree and do the same thing. You also get every last drop out of the hose
  12. I'm with you Krause. I hate the thought of sharks whilst fishing from a kayak! Cheers scratchie!!!
  13. Thanks for pointing that out Ryder! I will fess up that I never knew that.
  14. What an awesome series! A real shame it's over. I don't know what to do on Tuesday nights now! There doesn't seem to be any tuna off Sydney ATM so at least I was getting my fix from the TV!
  15. Go the "hard merch"! The humpy dumpty will be hard to beat! Or will the pinwheel win on the line! Exciting stuff!
  16. The only real burley to use in freshwater is bread IMO. Although I'm interested in our peoples comments as well. I mostly use lures whilst fishing freshwater and move around so I've never given burley a thought. Although, I've seen many use bread to attract mullet, carp and I've used it to catch herring on the nepean! Cheers scratchie!!!
  17. Wow! Sneaky bastards those makos. Nothing's a surprise out in the big blue!
  18. Adrian, you probably upgraded to the mako on the way up not on the drop!
  19. Well Harold, we are glad you and your family are a part of our community. If you ever want to add to your biggest fish encounter, I'm sure we could get a Fishraider crew together and go chase some marlin in that big boat of yours! Cheers scratchie!!!
  20. Very funny Dave! I don't even have one myself. Yet!!! Haha
  21. Welcome to the forum! Do you have any pics of your new boat? Cheers scratchie!!!
  22. And you never post anything with substance nor that contributes to this forum
  23. What are you talking about Jamestown? You want to point out I'm incorrect on what? This particular fish isn't one of the 94kg or 73kg he caught? You may be correct with that but it's the same guy and my primary suggestion was that there was footage for this guy on youtube. I suggest you stop looking for, what you think are small indecrepensies and put up a fishing report of your own with some substance in it. I can't ever recall you placing an actual fishing report! 24. Just arrived home! We ended up fishing, urunga..... Really need a tinnie there. A quick stop at nambucca heads. Another place that looks really fishy but the water was clear and it was pissing down, so we had a few casts, something to eat and moved on. South west rocks, found a little sheltered spot and everyone in the family managed a few bream. It rained the whole time and all the way home but no one cared. Would loved to have done a bit more fishing but it wasn't to be! FYI, my sons team finished 5th in the state! Awesome effort!
