  1. Well who else would be out there in a yak???? Lol Cheers scratchie!!!
  2. G'day, That was an interesting saying you have about QLD and VIC but the way I see it is the only good thing that comes from those states is the road to NSW. I just love interstate rivalry Welcome to the site and you will find all the information you need to know about fishing NSW. Use the search function on this site and type in what your looking for and bingo, a wealth of information. Good luck and look forward to reading your posts! Cheers scratchie!!! Mod team
  3. Cracking fish anyway mate! Enjoy your rewards! Usually holiday there every year, great part of the world. Good time of year to be fishing there, love those pearl perch! Look forward to your next post! Cheers scratchie!!!
  4. This is a timely reminder to everyone to be mindful and responsible when fishing unfamiliar or certain areas. IT IS ILLEGAL to fish in a sanctuary zone. It is YOUR responsibility to know the waters you are fishing and there is NO EXCUSE. It is the same with keeping undersized fish, there is NO EXCUSE.
  5. Cheers mate! Last time I was up there pulled a cracking snapper from split and some good kings on the troll too! An old wise fisho said "try 300m east of the bum cheeks" do you know where I mean? Good snapper spot!
  6. Nice fish there boys! How big was it? The kings can be tough going up there! Were you fishing near split solitary at all? Cheers scratchie!!!
  7. This thread is about lazy fishos. But is not just these people that leave crap everywhere. Whilst searching for my stolen property the other day in parks and waterways, it's not until you look really closely, I was amazed by the amount of rubbish disgarded. The best way is to lead by example because at the end of the day, we are all responsible for our environment! Cheers scratchie!!!
  8. Corlette beach between the anchorage and Wanda headland or Taylor's beach mostly on low tide. Cheers scratchie!!!

  18. And it gets worse! $800 to get the locks changed for the car. Minus the $700 in my wallet and the $600 fine I got on the way up here! I camped so it was cost effective! I'm fully insured and the excess for this is $650. I get robbed either way! Should have just hired a penthouse suite and got my massage after fishing and ate lobster by the beachside cafe while drinking Louie 3rd!
  19. What sort of set up and plastic you using?
  20. Just awesome Pete! That was a great write up and I felt like I was there in the moment. It made me hang onto every word. You've been quiet of late but have come back in a big way! Just short of the magic 1m but a cracking fish none the less. Good on you my friend, I know how much you've targeted that species and your persistence has paid off! Cheers scratchie!!!
  21. This is the second time in a week I've to make a police report for stolen property. 1. My sons bag was stolen from birubi beach with iPhone, camera and wallet. 2. Last night some scumbag has ruined my holiday by stealing my hat which contained my wallet, car keys and sunglasses. It was partially my fault as I left it on the table when I went to the toilet before bed. It took 2 minutes. To make things worse, my fishing rods are still in the car I can't access. Now I'm really pissed off! I even cut short our night so we could continue our yakking adventure we started yesterday! The only good thing that happen yesterday was I caught a PB 45cm bass but couldn't photo it as I left phone in the car! But I finally see how they can pull hard. So to whoever has been stealing my shit, bad karma to you! What goes around comes around! Thanks for letting me vent! Cheers scratchie!!! P.s locksmith on their way, I need my rods!
  22. Welcome to the site Pete and that is a great report! It's a shame about the lost lure but not knowing what it was makes you want to go back for more! Look forward to reading more of your posts! Cheers scratchie!!!
  23. Oh mate! She really needs to sign up to raider and put the posts on for you! Lol. 50cm is awesome! Just remember you taught her everything she knows! Good on you girl!!!! Cheers scratchie!!!
  24. Not sick of them Dave and great report! But I would like to know, who has the bigger bass record? You or the mrs??? Cheers scratchie!!!
  25. Roberta, that is an awesome post and for me it's what FR is all about! Helping others attain there goal makes you both feel good. That is why you are a mentor and a valuable asset to this site! Sometimes watching others land a fish or fish of a lifetime is just or more rewarding than catching one yourself. Good on the other fisho Chris for helping out too. I just love hearing stories like this. It is the reason I give out so much info as I can too! Cheers scratchie!!!
