Hey mike2153,
If you end up finding something that's good, let me know and I'll try the same. I'm looking for work now and that would be right up my alley!

Just thought I'd throw in my 2 bob worth. Ban sailing vessels full stop! If they are to close to me, it's time to drop anchor. Sorry if their boat is in my way as I throw it!

It hasn't bothered me fished all three days of the long weekend and both days this weekend with more fish than you can poke a stick at.once you know your spots and what conditions it can be fished in a bit off rain shouldn't stop people fishing
Obviously we fish in different areas. I'm not worried about a bit of rain but the 50km+ winds are a joke!!!
Good on ya for the blackies you caught. I only wish I could get out!

It's not bothering me - I'm in Canada skiing!
As long as it improves by about the 20th.
Haha, but the long range forecast says its no good on the 20th. Lol

I might tow my boat up for a few days next week if weathers ok
At the moment, the water is terrible. I'm going out this arvo, wind prevailing. Will post what I find!!!

Hi raiders, the topic says it all. For someone like me that is blessed to be able to fish at least twice a week, I'm having withdrawals.
Anyone else feel the same??

Tom the locals have a slogan and I'm sure would agree." Just another day in paradise". The good news is the flatly season is a bit late this year. It is just starting. The heavy rain in the last few days has also fired up the bream. The whiting are on the chew. Not to ention Broughton is on our door step and on the beach the salmon are about . Life's tough living here some days it's hard to make a decision on what fish to target for the day. It great to see you have enjoyed your visit.
Great report.
Cheers
I agree!!! I never know what rod to take with me, or what to target!!!! But oh well, what a problem to have!

I'm not an expert but I was told that the dsi technology is not really good unless the boat is in motion and not at pace. If you are anchored it, bounces off its own sonar which renders it useless. I was told to wait about 2yrs while they work on the technology.

Good work johno!!! I'd be rapped too if I hooked onto a beakie!!! And I agree, yeah sure it wold be great to land it but targeting it, hearing the rod scream off and watching it jump would be just as exciting!!!

Hi guys
Heading to Port in a couple weeks with the family. Will be doing a heap of fishing in the bay with the Mrs and kids. Want to target Jews hard in side and wanted to know where to get bait from. I normally get slimies/yakkas at Tomaree when i go outside but is there anywhere closer or south of the marina as that's the way I will be going?
Also squid, I beleive Shoal Bay is the spot I think. Can anyone confirm? Or suggest anywhere else.
I got a couple of Jews/ banjos/ hammerheads near the Ancorage marina last year so I'm starting with that as my Jewie spot. I hear Karuah bridges produce also.
Thanks for reading and hopefully some info to share.
Will send u pm!!!

I agree with all responses!!! If your fishing for a feed, IMO I believe you can take whatever is of legal size and limit for what you NEED.
