  1. Pump yabbies and fish the flats, I find anything else to be a waste of time unless targeting squid or kings. Pretty sure the hacking has the worlds largest population of baby snapper.
  2. Make sure you wash em with fresh after you go fishing, the film on the lense will deteriorate if you dont.
  3. Mouth of the river either side (jibbon beach, salmon haul) look on google earth to find the weed beds.
  4. Heaps of kings about yesterday smashing pillies, caught a few pillies but couldnt keep them alive. Kingys didnt want a bar of the dead ones.
  5. Any of the larger gulps in nuclear chicken. That's a gun colour.
  6. I live local but I only ever fish the Hacking and Botany. Decided im going to do a little recon mission down the Georges tomorrow in search of some bream and flatty. Gonna be flicking sp's around. Anyone care to divulge a little bit of info as to where would be a good starting point? Thanks in advance.
  7. Buy a catch net, leave em in there for 15-20 minutes. Its like a squid naughty corner.
  8. She posted yesterday on a kayak forum
  9. Been heaps around mate around Deer Park
  10. Yeah its a great spot mate. Lots of structure, current and deep water. That channel that sits between the sand flat and the land is like a highway for fish. Good jewie spot too.
  11. No mate, usually lots of pillies busting up around there but they are a waste of time as a livie. So hard to keep alive. Head out to salmon haul and jibbon. Berley up over the weed beds for yakkas. Also good spot to catch squid.
  12. Best place in the hacking for a noobie is lilli pilli baths just anchor up in the deep water where the channel runs out from between the land and sand flat. Outgoing tide seems to be more productive.
  13. Yes Botany bay is very difficult. Youll have better luck in The Hacking River or Sydney Harbour. Try catch some squid too.
  14. 3-6kg rod. 4000 reel spooled with 15-20 pound braid. 20-30 pound leader. Still wont stop the bigger models though.
  15. Depends what side of the bay your on. You want the wind coming from the land into the water. Better yet no wind at all. Heading outside a light westerly is best.
  16. Nothing is changing at the Oil Wharf.
  17. Assuming you don't have a downrigger so.... Deep water Structure Berley Trail Unweighted live squid down drifted down berley trail ???? Profit
  18. Good to hear the kings are around
  19. Botany Bay is a desolate wasteland.
  20. Good catch, i use to launch my kayak there and you wouldnt believe the amount of times youd see fisheries booking people.
