I had this very sounder in my old boat and found it to be a great unit for the price. Eagle are made by lowrance so the quality is definatly great. I would not hesitate to buy another eagle if it suited my needs.

Hey coastbloke, I am another with a 54lbs bow mount watersnake on my 4.35 hornet and it has never let me down. A 100a/h is a must and yes must be sealed. You pay more for it but definatly well worth it. Stay away from car batteries.

For what they are worth I would replace the trebles and the split rings also. Not worth mucking around with.

I would personlly save a lot of time and effort and fish the Hacking. Seriouslt though I would use the ramp at Parsley Bay at Brooklyn.

I went fishing down at Berowra Waters the other day and although I got a decent flatty around Bar Island? apart from that I didn't fare to well. I was hopeing that someone could help me out with some spots to try as I want to take my 6 year old son there next week and I would like him to be able to catch a fish. I have also heard that in years gone by that it was a great area for prawning. Is this still the go? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
