    West Reef

you did better than me, i was in BB for an hour on sat morning but i found the choppy condtions to be too messy, it made me feel crook, so headed in and called it a day.
  2. thanks Jon, hopefuly they might have been saving themselves for the weekend.
  3. i am going to fish around Lion Island and BB tomorrow morning for 2 or 3 hours and see if any of the Kings from the Harbour have moved North. If any one is out there i will be on channel 96. Good luck to everyone for the weekend, at least the wind looks like it is giving us a break.
  4. good fish. Congratulations, they sure shake their head at that size.
  5. they are funny and worth reading.
  6. if all else fails, dive in with hands outstretched and pray hard!
  7. for me it was the introduction to SP's. Now i hardly ever use bait.

    Amazing Stuff

i am not sure who has too much time on his hands, it is either the writer or the reader. Perhaps both!
  12. i agree. i find it the most over rated fishing spot in the Hawkesbury. I know fish are caught there but after more years than i care to think about i dont bother trying there any more. And on the weekend, isnt there a couple of boats there. They out number the fish by 10 to 1.
  13. there are no words to describe it. lol
  14. good catch and report. Sounds like a huge shark at 6 metres. They dont nibble at that size.
  15. i wish i could have gone out there today. Had to work. Congratulations to you and your son.
  16. my ex looked just like that. Glad you found her.
  17. Mate if you had a saddle you could have put it in the cup. Unbelievable and it IS what fishing dreams are made of.
  18. 3 months ago i was out quite wide from Broken Bay and there was a fair chop and wind on and there were 5 guys in a 4 metre tinny with a 25 on the back of it all with cans in their hands trying to fish in a 2 metre swell with a southerly blowing at 20 knots. You just know that is a recipe for disaster. I know i am too cautious (have a 7 metre Signature with a 225 Mercury on the back) but at least i have always been relatively safe when it turns sour and my experience is, it does turn crook regularly.
  19. you would want a dead set flat day for a 4.1 tinny. Best be safe and hitch a ride with one of the many members in here who have bigger boats. 1 metre diffence in length in a boat makes a huge difference in how it handles the sea and wind.
  20. the winds have been too strong for too long. They have to end soon, mind you i just looked at todays forecast and it doesnt look great.
  21. Definately a Ray. Mongrel things, they get your hope up and then you see them!!!!!!!!
  22. thats a great site, thanks for the link.
  23. reckon there are at least 24 tips doing the rounds. I have no idea but will most likely get my 3 year old son to pick some numbers. Cant do any worse than my traditional results.
