  2. Hey all, Finally mastered the buggers..... In regard to your question stylo, its just a matter of finding a school.. Land Based would be similiar, small hook with TINY bit of prawn off so if they nibble, the nibble the hook!

  4. Went out last Sunday with Dan and Dad for a shot at my first king! MAnaged to get squid alright, then proceeded to fish Sydney for nada, cept for one BRILLIANT hookup, line screaming evrywhere, boy these things are powerful, but i dropped it. Thanks to Dan and evryone who has given me advice on the kings, its only a matter of time now! Henry

  7. I thought the rigger one was good..... Some stuff on beach and rock fishing would be good! Or maybe some stuff on kings in Sydney Harbour...... I also think an SP workshop would be great, I love those things (though I am not very good with them). Could someone maybe cover everything with line strength, type of lure retrieves, ect.... henry
  8. Flathead anything over 50 or 60 cm is a female. They go from male to female when they reach a certain size. Blackies and trout robert is correct, as is IFS on dollies, but bulls tend to be a tad bigger as well. Generally size is a big factor.... Iwould be releasing most bigegr fish in most species as larger ones tend to be the dominant females, yes i hated saying that for all the females on raider ..... henry

  12. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had a pic of a squid rig for downrigging.... Had some success off Bareenjoey with yakka's..... Want to gather some squiddies and hook em' up! Got the anchor rigs, but apparently they twist when trolled! henners

  14. Hey guys, I am planning to head to Rose bay wharf wednesday arvo for a daylight squid, jsut wondering has anyone ever fished for squid there before? (I have seen and hooked some there, just trying to refine my technique)... henry

  20. Hammerheads are not school sharks.... These are generally reef species or such.... At least I think that is the case....
