  1. 2 knots is better for yakka's. You are better off with a no offset hook. Try bridling them properly if you want to go faster but usually they don't cope. Make sure you are running a swivel. If the spin and you don't see it you will get some pretty good line twist.
  2. Nice fat fish. Pretty sure thats a striped tuna. Cheers Chris
  3. More. Used regularly at least 2500 hours, wouldn't be suprised it was 5000 and time will tell if them make it to 10k
  4. I would agree with all of the above as good advice. I have a few of those rod and reel combinations and they all work.
  5. You can only launch off the sand. Yes there are a lot of marine parks in that specific area. Cheers Chris
  6. As a general rul, LBG game gear is anywhere from 7 foot to 7 foot six and 8 foot at the max. LBG spin rod is 10 foot max. Cheers Chris
  7. My mechanic told me you have to get a new tank if the float is stuffed but someone else here may know otherwise. Cheers Chris
  8. Just so you know the one opposite the servo has closed. The one is Salamander was pretty good.
  9. Just to clarify, if the engine is off and the alarm is still going off with the ignition on it is most likely the float is stuck.
  10. Try and find the wire that leads from your oil alarm and disconnect them. If that kills it that is what it is. My cable was brown/blue. Mine still went off with the engine off and the ignition key on. The float on mine or whatever it is ran low and has got stuck so I disconnected it for a short term fix.
  11. It'll be fine. Just try and get through the tank as soon as you can. Chris
  12. Regular size you can use 20lb fluro no worries. They are not that big, they don't go as hard as a king and they can only wrap you around the fad at best. Obviously up size with a big bait.
  13. How did you go down there. I am looking at going down on Wednesday for some stickface. Weighing up the kink of the banks for the day. Cheers Chris
  14. If there is a few boats out there do a left to right drift over it. Thats what everyone else will be doing. Don't troll through the middle of everyone. You can still troll around the outside. When they are there in numbers you can be 100 metres away and still hook up. Don't back up to the fad and sit there all day with the motor running as I have seen done.
  15. There must be some contact somewhere. I ran another set of cables through it and it works ok. Just didn't fancy rewiring the trailer. What a drain!
  16. I have just installed some led lights. Can't get one set to work properly. Left side fine. Right side red park light good, indicator good. As soon as the brake pedal goes on lose park light, indicator on r/h side. Release and both indicator and red light come back on. Any clues?
  17. Its a great rod. You will enjoy using it for sure.
  18. You are not going to have any fun jigging on a 7ft rod if you are still considering that.
  19. i've spun up a few rats and personally seen someone land a 14kg model a couple of weeks ago so they are around. I personally have not caught a legal off a ledge this year though. My favourite lure for kings is rapala cd14. sluggos are good as well.
  20. Wouldn't fish over 15kg for it. That reel was really designed for mono but you can chuck braid on it no worries.
  21. Its a thread sealant to use on the brass fittings for the hydraulic steering. Where can I buy this from? Thanks Chris
  22. Yep nitro do a godzilla model which is 10-15 7ft. Ligtht tip action with heaps of bottom grunt.
  23. Firstly what is your WOT and does it hit the limiter? Someone might be able to give you a better answer then. Cheers Chris
  24. If the part isn't worn enough thats the more reason it should be going back for warranty. Warranty does not generally cover fair wear and tear. If its not worn and its not working you would think that would be a warranty problem? Interesting to know what the hour service schedule is for the 20hr service and how much they are charging you an hour.
