They really listened and took notice when they set up all the other marine parks didn't they. Don't kid yourself.
Your voice has very little impact on our politicians unless you hold the balance of power in the Upper house which at the moments rests with The Greens and the establishment of these marine parks is part of their policy,
Scratchies correct but its not all good news for the Recreational fisher.
Once the commercial guys are gone then there is nothing to stop them on the next part of their policy. Marine national Parks. (No fishing point blank)
Be careful what you wish for. Once the commercial guys have been removed the next step is to turn the Hawkesbury and Sydney Harbour into Marine Reserves. ( fishing full stop ). NSW Greens and Labor Policy
Part of your Fishing Licence Fee already goes towards the buy back of the commercial licences as compensation. Who will compensate you when they take your right to fish in the Hawkesbury River and Sydney Harbour.

Your Abu has a retail of "$430" ......complete with a plastic yolk, silly little springs that fly out when you take them apart dodgy drags, and a mag break that freaks out and doesn't work at the slightest hint of water
If your happy to spend that much, which you don't really need to have a look at Shimano Exsence DC. A mate of mine had his first crack with a baitcaster using one of these in the land of a thousand casts and in 8hrs didnt get one backlash.
We were pulling metre + barra out of trees with 30lb braid.
I take numerous rods on a plane at least once a year.
I use a Shakespear Bazooka rod carrier so its lockable.
Costs me $70 each way to send them with Virgin to Cairns and Proserpine
So the bloke towing a 5.5 metre Cruise Craft behind his Holden Captiva on Sunday between Wollongong and Bulli on the highway was probably doing the wrong thing.
Gee I would never have guessed. Pity I didn't have a camera with me.
Apple Tree Bay and Cowan Creek arent far away.
A quick trip up the freeway to Patonga and Pearl beach is always an option and if you do any good you can always get a great meal at the local Pub and Cafe
Fair chance it is.
I have a similar problem and bat droppings.
Im convinced they feed on Araldite trees and the droppings only come off with hot water and high pressure water
Check this out.

Saw a report on the TV the other night about this guy
He uses a mobility scooter to get around and makes these magnificent sculptures out of old spanners.
He uses a block and tackle to move the pieces around his work shop. His dying wish is to pass away in his work shop with a welder in his hand.
A visit to is property near Boort is high on the agenda for my next trip to Melbourne
P.S. My wife can no longer complain about the number of spanners I have
Great fish.
Big Kahawai, 3kg and bigger are common baits for large kings in NZ its what they feed on. If you can fins a school of them the kings wont be far away
Mate
Im with you. And I read in this thread that some people actually only go after rats .
IMHO if your not using a a Live bait over 30cms your not in the game for a fair dinkum king fish.
20Lb line and 5kg rods are what we use to catch the bait
My question is why would you want to?
Either use a running rig of a fixed rig. If you google either you'll find any number of illustrations of both which don't require tubing to space the sinker from swivel.
If your worried about the sinker striking the swivel just bit a soft lumo bead between them
