  1. Thanks again guys Donna, your right, I joined fish raider as a quite experienced fisherman but now, with the help of everyone on hear and all the experience, not meaning to brag but both me and Seamus have become a lot better fisherman It gets a bit expensive as U want all the new gear but it's SOOOOO much better than sitting in side on a device all day
  2. Thanks for the kind words everyone I like to spend the time to make a report interesting, especially if it's a long one And I always love taking some nice pictures Cheers Gianni
  3. G'day raiders As the title says, I had an action packed weekend fishing Friday, Saturday and Sunday with all very productive sessions Friday: Normally get home from school at 4:20pm but on Friday, all the power shut down in the school so they dismissed us early so I definitely wasn't gonna miss my opportunity for a quick solo arvo sesh, home at 3 and out the door by 3:01!! Got down to the canal, all seemed quiet until I walked around a bit and pulled up tight to a nice flattie measuring 56cm. After that, walked around for a bit then bang, flattie, and again another flattie Every cast was a hit or a fish At one point got 3 flatties in three cast along with a few small bream mixed in Awesome session from 2 1/2 hours with a total of 7 flatties and 2 bream Saturday: Went to a bay near the local with 2 mates Jordan and Irvin. Got onto the usual marina we fish for no bream for about an hour so move down a bit and after about 20mins, I see a big, dark shape come out of no where and absolutely smash my powerbait crabby about 50cm from the surface and after about 10 seconds realised it was an EP!! And my first to! After a bit of stress landing him, there was my first EP He measured 39cm and definitely around 1kg+ He was happily released after a few pics Then we got onto a large school of them and I hooked a monster EP Saw him smash it right at my feet but swam straight around the pylon and gone Then Irvin hooked up but lost it, then I hooked up again and swung him onto the marina, he measured 34cm and again nice and fat Then hooked up again but lost it Moved around the bay for nothing, then back to the marina for 2 small bream, then got told off.... Irvin then left and to prevent Jordan from getting a donut, we went to my local and bam he pulls a flattie first cast Then I hook something decent which turned out to be a nice trevally 42cm Then Jordan pulls one at about 35cm. Then I got a little flattie That was it for Saturday Sunday: Today, me and Seamus headed up the coast to fish for some squid and unweighted off the rocks Got there and immediately, pulled 6 squid in about 30mins all over 20cm hood and biggest 28cm hood which is my PB After that, my mate joined me and we went to go fish unweighted off the rocks with squid and pulled a few yakkas and I caught a very colourful leather jacket! Seamus got busted off twice by two good fish unfortunately Then after that we went to the local lagoon and got a few bream and Seamus caught a nice flattie Thanks for reading guys hope u enjoyed Cheers Gianni
  4. Thanks for the response dan I will go talk to him or someone that works in the office And sorry for the suspense Matt the report will be up tomorrow because I went fishing Friday, Saturday, then going tomorrow so I'll post a big report tomorrow night
  5. Thanks guys for the replies One day I had the manager tell me and Seamus if we wanna fish there, to just clean up after ourselves He said we can fish there as long as we clean up if we use bait or cut line and stuff
  6. Hey raiders So today I fished a marina with a few mates near my local today that I have fished at least 6 times with no one telling us off and couldn't see any signs saying no fishing Then this guy comes up to me, and asks is I have a boat there (no I don't), so then he asks how I got on, I said thru the gate right there (it was next to us and wide open like always), so he started going off at me, telling me and threatening me that he would call the cops, etc etc, so I politely said sorry mate, I didn't see any signs saying anything and the gate was wide open, then he threatened me to take me to the security to show me the signs?!? I said sorry and left He was very impolite and shouting at me, seriously, what's a kid like me gonna do?!?! Anyway, he told me to never come back Anyone else had a similar experience or worse?? Cheers Gianni P.S. Stay tuned for the full report of the day! [emoji6] just a little hint: it was a very good session
  7. Thanks mate well lucky when I hooked it, the fish was a huge dead weight slowly moving away from structure. This is when I predicted a monster flattie or jewwy, but then a blistering run made a king the possibility. I was very lucky to land that fish Cheers Gianni
  8. Thanks pete! And darrylgrup, but of both there, no one really seemed to care
  9. Thanks guys, it was a great session with hopefully more to come like that
  10. Thanks everyone for the replies One of my best days flicking plastics defiantly
  11. G'day raiders Headed out early today with Jordan and his brother for a fish for bream in rozelle. Started out getting heaps of nice bream on the marina and some smaller ones in really tight structure I was using the powerbait crabby and Jordan and his little brother where both using zman grubZ There where heaps of bream around, then I lost a really nice one in the structure Moved on towards the fish markets and picked up a few bream and flatties on the way Then stopped for lunch then, on the way back, walked past so pylons, cast my crabby next to it, first twitch and BOOM! Lucky the fish swims away from the pylons, then the fight begun After some very sizzling runs and huge head shakes and about 20mins of fight, I land a kingy!! On 6lb leader and 1-2kg gear!!! Awesome fight landbased, I measured the fish next to the rod and when I got home, measured the rod I couldn't believe my eyes! If the brag mate was right, the fish measured 70cm!!!! After a few pics, he was released It was a very skinny fish but very long That was about it for the day, an awesome day Cheers Gianni
  12. Sounds like two decent sessions seamus, not the best u've had but still at least u caught some nice fish Would love to head wide with u sometime soon Cheers Gianni

  14. G'day raiders Headed out on Saturday with Seamus on the harbour but unfortunately, not much to report about... Anyway, early start up at 5:30, gathered the gear and off we went Got out there straight to south head for squid, went outside to a spot that looked very squiddy but got none there, so quickly stopped at a close by reef for a quick jig with very good marks showing on the sounder and heaps of bait, I hooked up once on a 200g knife jig but didn't stick, decided to troll back in because of seeing the amount of bait with fish busting up and birds diving but nothing, so decided to go to the regular spots in the harbour for squid, well, before catching a squid, Seamus hooks a salmon! But doesn't land it Moved to another spot and after about 1 hour, I finally landed one, then another, things were looking good but for the next hour didn't get any, got a message from mike telling us to come over to a regular spot of his and we were marking good but both mike and us couldn't get them to take our baits/lures so again we moved back for squid, for the next 2hours landing 1 squid so 4 hours of squidding resulted in 3 squid Went to a marker and began downrigging and, in about 5mins, lost 4 hours of work!! We lost both of our small squid so dropped down a frozen squid and bring straight back up a tailor, so waisted our squid on tailor Then moved to one of our mates spot and was marking well so we set the downrigger with the big squid and while downrigging, I was using a jig and hooked up but lost them then the downrigger pops and we bring up the whole squid, set again, pops out and the head is gone Stripped it up and set a big strip on the downrigger and after 10mins it's pops out and the rod buckles, I jump on the rod and after a great fight, bring up a nice fat 66cm king Long story short, that was it for the rest of the day, but when we gutted this fish, we found the whole head of the big squid that got taken plus another whole head!! 15. Awesome mate a very impressive fish for Sydney I'm sure u and your mate were stoked with that result Cheers Gianni Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Guys can we get something straight here. Where me, Jordan and seamus fish in these lakes for carp, all lakes if they overflow and spill to creeks, the roads will be flooded before they spill into creeks I went the day all that terrible rain stopped and we went to just about every lake and not one of them was even close so getting near anywhere where it may spill to a creek, in fact they where a tiny bit higher but not much at all, maybe only half a foot to a foot higher Where u guys might fish for carp might spill to creeks but not where we fish It might be transferred by birds but there is no way 3 young passionate fisherman can stop that from happening Killing 5 out of 5000 carp isn't gonna do much Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Sure there a pest mate but these lakes where stocked with the carp, my mate looked it up and unless we have a month of hard rain, these lakes won't overflow and spill to the creeksSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. A first + decent EP First proper jewwy New tuna and mackerel species while spinning the rocks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Seamus has basically said what I wanted to say but here I go My response to all PMs sent to me is : where we fish for carp, native species are not present in the lakes, therefore the carp are released But if carp caught in creeks which hold natives e.g. Bass, we kill them I personally have a lot of fun chasing carp and when hooked up to the bigger ones is awesome fun Even the fish around 45cm put up not a bad fight I fish for the sport of it with ultra rods (1-2kg), reels (1000 size), and leader (4-6lb) This makes fishing for them more enjoyable And like seamus said, we fish for our future to catch more and to know that there are some big numbers of fish where we fish for them I'm not a fan of 'kill the carp because there a pest' I understand what they can do to the environment of other species but in the bass creeks we fish, there are high numbers of bass in there so the carp can't do that much if we still get heaps of bass Some fish that we catch are trophy fish for people on the other side of the world and if you've watched the videos of them with their carp, they really care about that sport Obviously we don't take care of the fish that well like putting cream where they've been hooked or damaged before but we still do respect the carp Therefore, I don't kill lake caught carp but in creeks they are killed Cheers Gianni Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Hi guys I've received many PMs about what we do with the carp KILL OR RELEASE?? We release the carp we catch in lakes but in creeks that hold bass we kill them We always fish for the carp in the lakes therefore, most of the carp you guys see us catch are released I'm not the biggest fan of catch a fish and kill it because there a pest What killing 1 out of 1000 carp gonna do? Plus they are great fun to catch especially on 1-2kg gear
