O thanks mate great help, Live squid or yakkas? Whats the approimate depth of the area and are they frequent?

Can someone please give me some advice on where jews are taken in the system in, they dont have to be your secret spots just an idea in places where i should look for baits and jews ect... any help would be greatly appreciated!

Good kings can be caught in the bay with live squid of dead fresh port hacking pillies... Look for deep holes in the bay... also you can get some really good kings on nippers!

Try bonnievale on the drift for bream, whiting and flatties. I do think that south west arm is a bit overrated

Yes there are alot of rat kings mixed in with the occasional bigger one...alot of squid in the bay makes the chance of getting one better:)

Also i would give , Squidgies a go for kings and jews. Give the 100mm silverfox fish a go for jews and the 100mm true blues for the kings

Hey all i just wanted to know opinions on what are some good live squid rigs? I do cast off the boat and i wanted to know a way to keep it off the bottom, maybe using some sorta booby cork?

hey guys, My setup im using is a symetre 4000 with 15lb tuf line on it, i was just woundering what line class flurocarbon leader i should use, i was thinking of something like 25lb -30lb? Just chasing kings and jews in the bay, what you think is 15lb overkill? thanks

Apparently the nippers go all soft when frozen, so i wouldnt recomend them

nah mainbar doesnt break, i think your thinking of bonnivale which backs out onto mainbar... A good spot to get yabbies is inside that channel near fishermans bay.

Dolans bay is your best bet

O yea try for the yakkas around near where the channel gets real deep near the marker where to flows into the bay? The water can run pretty fast there so i dunno thanks for the tips are there anymore?

Hey everybody, i am planning to try and get a jew or a king this weekend and i need a good bait, t hat is yellowtail and or squid. I have no idea where to go and get them would anyone be kind enough to point me in the right direction? Your help would be greatly appriciated

What is the best sushimi fish? obviously Tuna or salmon would be but other than that, species i could catch in the port hacking? What do i need from capture till the time i eat it? any advice would be greatly appriciated

O really i thought that but i guessed it was a catfish because it had those feelers, owell there were so many of them it wasnt funny, whats the legal size limit? BTW this fish had smooth skin , it didnt have scales

I caught this fish over the xmas holidays up at Airlie beach QLD. It was taken on fresh squid, went about 30cm Looks to be some sorta catfish but im not sure please help just a couple of questions 1. What is it 2. Are they ediable 3. What are they like to eat if you can eat them (sorry about the crappy phone pic)
