  1. Where is that place it looks good and maybe one I can manage to climb to, always willing to travel.
  2. Loved the spoilers and will now rely that info to the wife and be in the doghouse for weeks, lol. Vikings I have only watched a few episodes but it is good so will get the DVD's and watch from the beginning.
  3. Wow!!! A fellow old fart, yep I remember it Foghorn, lol
  4. Wow zero nice fish mate, both in NZ?
  5. Thankyou very much I love how everyone is so happy to help others out here, I'm glad I found and joined fishraiders. I actually met my first fishraider member face to face this afternoon at a well known tackle shop in Campbelltown and even before he knew I was a fellow member he was unleashing a wealth of knowledge onto me, so much that I forgot why I was there, lol I won't name him but he can reply if he wants but a BIG thankyou from me and yes I'm looking at my options,cheers.................stu
  6. He's dead Sam, but maybe he can return as a white walker or something, lol. There have been quite a few unexpected twists and turns in this story, like who would have thought Sean Bean would exit the show so soon, and then John Snow's love interest 'that thing you do with your tongue' getting killed. In the book series John Snow wasn't killed so that maybe something to go on but what I do know for sure is that it is a great show and I have to be very quiet while it is on 'for the entirety of the show' or else I'm in the doghouse, lol
  7. Hmmm Chippo Lakes and another post Cook's River seems like the good fish go there because we can't eat them from those places, it's a shame cos' I always want take home fish, chips on their own get boring, lol
  8. I have been looking at rod and reel combo's all day and also checking out braided line and the SP's. Firstly I need a mid size rod like a 7ft allrounder with a nice reel with braid, however there seems to be different types of braid and trying to convert pounds to kilo's and all that is very confusing. Of course the rods I like are expensive but did see a nice Diawa combo online at BCF at a reasonable price. On this SP's day will anybody there like to have a chat to me about braided line pro's and cons and how to tie on hard plastics which I have I the garage brand new. If the day is going to be to busy for that maybe one of the Macarthur area guys could help me out, cheers..............stu
  9. That's it Scratchie I'm coming out with you, already sussed out where to stay at Soldiers Point, also some nice boats for sale at the marina when I win lotto, lol.
  10. I watched it and it was a fantastic video including the music, and great Kingies had by all of you. I did notice however not one gimble belt amongst you so you must all have abs of steel, I would have needed one for sure. Were Kingies the only fish you caught out there?
  11. Awesome fishing you two, where abouts in the Georges and can any of your spots be reached on foot?
  12. Ok thanks Razzell as I thought around Rhodes is the same to I think, I like to catch a feed when I go fishing.
  13. Hi you guys, my name is Stuart and I live at Bow Bowing near Minto and I have no boat and would gladly come fishing with you inside or outside as I don't get sick, would gladly share fuel and bait costs. Friday nights will be out for a few months as my son plays field hockey but weekends are ok, just PM me for Mobile number and we can arrange to meet prior or pick up,cheers................stu
  14. Nippers are the best bait, but how many are you allowed to pump and keep for bait?
  15. I have never used poppers but just an observation on your rig, won't the popper spin around and 'wind up' your line in a twisting motion and so should have a swivel attached to the popper for your line to attach to prevent this? Maybe I'm wrong but just a thought.
  16. Very interesting post and quite educational, thanks for the pudding bait recipe this will be quite useful, just wondering if you press it around a hook does it not float off the hook when getting wet?
  17. I hear they make great fertiliser Neil, take them home and bury them, lol
  18. I'm excited about it and have asked my brother if he will come to, he is at Lake Cathie right now catching nothing, lol
  19. That's a nice catch Sid although for me I haven't experienced the King's yet and it is a fish I would love to catch but then again I just want to go offshore and fish, lol
  20. Nice report Nathan, I love how she took her barbie doll to,lol. Sweet moments indeed, maybe I should have had a daughter instead of two son's they are not interested in fishing at all, so sad. Where about's were you fishing cos' I live not to far away and wouldn't mind that jetty, I only know Kelso Beach at Picnic Point.
  21. Nice one Baysic, you know how to kill two birds with one stone, keep the GF happy and get to fish as well, lol
  22. It just doesn't get any better than that mate, all boxes ticked (especially the Mrs is happy), BTW I will offer to wash anyone's boat if they take me out fishing in it,lol
