  1. It is a shame to all us weekend warrior fishos that some people, cannot play by the rules like the rest of us, wether it is greed, selling fish on, or ignorance of the fishing rules and bag limits. In the end it all comes back on us all, either by reduced bay limits, no taking of a spieces, or closed fishing grounds. I for one want there to be plenty of fish around, not just for now but for the future, so fishos in generations from now can enjoy going out and catching a feed and have a fishing tale to tell.
  2. Yeah feeling for your dad, everyone makes mistakes and he was trying to help, hope all will be okay with your boat. We are thinking of both of you.

  7. I have just bought a windlass for my 6 meter half cab, need to install it soon, i had a look at drum winches too, but the windlass suited my boat better, I will need to install a longer bow sprit , looking at a stainless steel unit.
  8. Took the boat trailer, with boat still on the trailer for a rego inspection, past no worries as I do maintenance on the trailer. I asked the guy inspecting the trailer do many boat trailers fail and what for. He said heaps fail due to wheel bearings and rust in frame, lights not working. Do you do maintenance on your trailer?, does it pass rego, how often do you see dodge trailers at the ramps you go to.

  14. I have always coated them in rice flour then shallow pan fried in a nut oil with a big dob of butter, they only take about 8-10 minutes to cook, serve with salad or mashed potato, i find they are a really tasty fish and dont need any herbs or spices.
