  2. I had a 4.3 clark c/c...I got a lid folded up that covered the entire dash area and was lockable with padlock..in open position it acted as windscreen/spray dodger..folded up and locked to windscreen frame...easy to design and make..rick
  3. mine has lithium batteries that last for ages..i only use it if I park it out the front.its normally in yard behind gates with my loving caring ridgeback minding it...it doesn't use batteries hahaha..rick

  7. mate I have been on wharf at Swansea couldn't get hold of local officer so took it upon myself to kick over two buckets of undersize bream tarwhine squire back into the channel..the idiots took off in car when we put it to them and released all their undersize catch..local officer rang me later in the week and said Sydney fisheries inspected their house..we gave rego numbers..and booked them for numerous bag limit breaches..fish crabs pipis mussels oysters stolen off racks...freezers full of undersize fish...I personally felt good after ratting out these scumbags...just wish I had flogged crap out of them when I had the chance...rick

  9. mate they watch them at browns for hours..we bag out in less than two hrs go trolling come back and same boats are still there 8hrs later.its not rocket science to figure they are over limits an hidin them..take their boats take their tow vehicles.they are selling them on blackmarket..need more of them booked..rick
  10. you can slip out heads and get yakkas on blacksmiths bommie..visible on google right in front of surf club..sometimes you can burley them up on northern edge of dropover where channel meets lake or jig for squid out from dropover..or use strips of squid..there are plenty of tailor at moment too good live..rick
  11. nice to see that other fishos appreciate our beautiful penguins...we have a nice little colony on moon isl at Swansea heads..they are a fantastic little bird and yes they do respond to calls..luv your work keep the reports comin in j...rick

  13. older model..some are regod as 4.7 some 4.8.....more room in the older models..the later 5.0mtr have bigger cab and less room for standing and fishing..my mate has 5.5 stessl striker and prefers to fish in mine...rick

The 60 was adequate for two blokes but sometimes struggled in a working sea..but i fish in some pretty ordinary conditions saying that .not recommended for newbies on a good sea a vsea with 70hp is fine mine is well and truly powered up with 90..keep lookin for a vsea you will fall in love if you get one..there is a couple down south of sydney for sale on usual sites..rick
  15. I use small amounts of blue marine grease..don't put too much in..sounds like your whackin heaps in there and the gears are riding up and over too thick a coating of grease..rick
  16. boat went well struggling to find squid in tuggerah I get one or two every now and then that follow sps....if you don't mind a ten minute walk on the rocks I know a good spot for big green eyes..rick

  19. I bought a reasonable price motion sensor that is in my boat..any movement in there sets off alarm in my house..then I have heavy large presents for whoever is in boat... but you sound like you have most bases covered..rick
  20. went for a test run for a few hrs today..took fin off leg and picked up another knot and a half and steers lighter..havnt put 19pitch on yet..getting 28 knts at 3750 rpm...havnt done fuel test yet.but I don't think its goin to use much more than 60hp....I can cruise at 4knts faster using 500rpm less than old motor...pikn up 19 pitch next week should be perfect 17p revs out to 5000rpm in twenty mtrs...jumps out of hole that fast its scary..rick
  21. sweet...took my boat for a test run today just upgraded to a 90hp..sussed out a few more shallow water spots for flatties...will test them over next couple of weeks..have big neil comin up in a few weeks so hope we can nail a few..rick
