  1. Hi Guys after all this bad weather we've been having over the past week I was itching to go for a fish and yesterday was the day, we started off a bit late about 9:30am to be exact but the high was at about 10:30am so it was ok, I had bought some trolling lures over the weekend and decided to give them a go, the water was very brown from all the rain so I wasn't expecting much but after about 5mins of trolling we were on to a nice Salmon, we then continued trolling for the next hour but not much happening so we headed outside to bottom bash and managed a couple of flathead a flounder and one squid with plenty of throwbacks, the wind started to pick up and so did the swell so after watching a quick show from some passing Whales we headed back in and started trolling again with the tailor on the bit, we bagged 6 nice tailor all between the 40cm to 50cm mark and headed home for the day.

  7. Hi guys can anyone point me in the right direction im looking at getting a new sounder/gps 7in or 9in, I mainly fish shallow waters and want to start fishing some offshore reefs but don't think I'll be fish in more then 120m of water. thanks

  9. it sounds like your in the right area, with your jig size i usually use size 2.5 natural colours or glow jigs and the only other thing i can suggest is to make sure your jig always hit the bottom when your jigging back to the boat with a couple of long pauses in between.
