Not hi sticked mate, the rod snapped as the fish was taking a run and the rod was nearly in the water, took the rod to Shimano and they discounted me a new rod, they would of replaced it but I couldn't find my receipt.

Thanks for the info Captain, I took my rod back to Shimano and they offered to discount a new rod for me, so I purchased the new black Terez 30lb - 50lb hopefully I have better luck with this one.

Hi guys Looking for recommendations for a new Boat Rod as my last rod snapped in half while fighting a fish, I will be using it for live baiting for kingfish so needs to have a line rating of at lest 40lb to 50lb and don’t want spend more than $300. thanks

it was about 12 meters deep, I had the downrigger set at about 9 meters & the other line set at about 4 meters.
