I like this time of year.
After the water started to clear up in early March, I headed out with a mate in his tinny armed with some choice poddies collected the day before. We fished drop-offs from 2-5m on both run in and run out. Took home 8 fish between us and released the big girl who measured up at 84cm.
Last Sunday, I headed out in my yak, again armed with only 5 poddies. Scored a couple of nice flatties on trolled hard bodies, then 2 more nice fish on the livies.
Easter Sunday and I have a dozen or so poddies ready to rock and pick up a couple of nice fish but then the tailor burgle the next 6 poddies. Picked up two more, one on a poddy and one on a massive plastic that I trialed(looks like a 18cm poddy!)
All fish caught in the middle of the tidal run over the three days. No run, no fun!If the weather keeps up and we don't have too much more fresh, April should be prett productive!
