We pulled about 30 yakkas in total from balmoral on Saturday you just need to keep trying and if something doesnt work change it up ie use bread, squid pieces, jigs or pilchard pieces to get yakkas. As everyone has said squid is the key at the moment. We landed about 12 kings on Saturday most to the squid all around Seaforth.

Hello raiders, I have a 40hp mariner on the back of my 15ft al dehaviland. Ive never tried towing a tube behind it but does anyone know if I would be able to do it behind that size motor/boat? Im not looking to break any speed records or anything, I just want to know if I would be able to pull it fast enough to have some fun with mates over the xmas/new years holidays. I would be towing my boat up to the central coast from Sydney if it is possible but I probably wouldnt bother if the boat wasnt going to pull a tube very well. Any thoughts, comments, ideas would be appreciated.

Welcome to raider mate. I went out with Scotty a couple months ago, he knows his stuff thats for sure. All up in a day we would have boated 60+ kings and lost at least another 30. Well dont on your fish mate

Hello, So do you have your rods straight up in the holders as they are shown in the pic or do you adjust them to fish out the back only? I want the rod holders to be point out at roughly a 45 degree angle to the sides of the boat.

Hello mate, do these rod holders spin when you get a big hit? I was going to get some of these and mount them on a vertical rail on the side of my boat. I have stainless ones at the moment which i tighten but they still spin unfortunately.

Just depending on when it is id be keen for this, I can bring my boat as well. Is there a ramp close to the area or is it easier just to drive the boat down from tunks?
