  1. Well done mate, I was planning on fishing that same area this weekend. Hopefully they are still around.
  2. Those fish would be enough to feed a small pacific nation!! Well done lads.
  3. well done lad thats a top crab
  4. Looks good Bill, well done mate.
  5. I can tell you what didnt work Kris, everything that I done!! We downrigged, trolled, live baited, drift baited, plastics, lures hard and soft, anchored, had baits high low and mid water, used squid and yakkas fresh. Fished every marker from Shark Island to inside Nth Head across to Dobroyd and all the markers on the way back to Clifton all for 1 king (probably just legal) lost at the boat. Needless to say it was a tough day, the weather and meeting and catching up with people at the social made up for it though.
  6. Thats a nice king mate, pretty thick.
  7. Not a problem im after a few stickers and a cap as well. By any chance will there be any Fishraider singlets being made at any stage if they are already not made? Also just double checking if Gecko77 has been added to my boat?
  8. Gday, As I do on most Friday afternoons I sit at my desk blank faced and think about fishing. As always I chat to one of the other lads in the office about fishing fishing and more fishing. So I was just having a little think about downrigging and just wondered what you would or might catch at night time if you downrigged and if anyone had ever tried it before. Id be interested to hear your thoughts.
  9. Morning Can you please add my mate Steve to my boat - Gecko77 Also is there anything else needed for Sunday I notice everything on the list is catered for. But would you like any more snags, drinks, bread?
  10. give pete at go fish a call. he should be able to help you.
  11. Well done lads. Ive been out on that same charter and landed over 60 legals in a morning session. He certainly knows his stuff. I think the rods were Sakana's from memory, beautiful to use thats for sure.
  12. Now thats a good report, well done on all the kings fellas.
  13. Hey mate I live on the Northern Beaches and dont know of any restrictions to surf fishing.
  14. Well done mate, awesome way to see in the new year.
  15. MASSIVE THANKS TO PELICAN Mike thanks again for coming out yesterday not once but twice, it is truly appreciated. You'll have to let me courier/drop off a case of beer or bottle of something to you, its the least I could do. I could tell Mike was devastated at the fact he was going to have to get the angle grinder on it. He did try 3 or 4 other tricks he had up his sleeve, but, it was stuck solid. For those that don’t know Mike and I we are not small blokes and we were putting a few ton of pressure into the pullers but it wouldn’t budge a bit. Thanks also to everyone else who PM and replied with input on removing the prop. Now im on the hunt for a new or used one to get myself back on the water!! Thanks again all.
  16. Ive sprayed it up with a bit of WD40 for the night ill give it another crack tomorrow. Once I remove the pin and nut should it normally just slide off?
  17. Hello all, Now that Chrisg has helped me out on whether or not its hard to change my prop I have a 2nd issue. I just remembered that the last mechanic who serviced my engine said that the prop was seized. He said it everything was okay at that time but whenever the propeller needed to be taken off it would take a bit of work. So............ my question is - Does anyone know how to remove a seized prop? It being the holiday period I dont want to waste a lot of money with mechanics etc if its something I can do myself. Any advice would be appreciated.
  18. Thanks Chris, Do you know where I would be able to get a new propeller from and do i need to but a specific mariner part or is it a one size fits all part? The piece which is chipped is about half the size of a 50c piece. With a chip that big is it still okay to use the boat over the next few days or should I definitley get it changed? Im just thinking it will be a bit hard trying to get the propeller at this time of year.
  19. Hello all, On Saturday I unfortunately chipped a piece off my propeller while reversing and hitting a rock. Is anyone able to tell me if its hard to change the propeller? I was hoping it would be a matter of buying a new one un doing a few pins or nuts and bolts and chucking the new one on. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
