hi....if the trailor was regestered before 1985...you dont need a complience plate but the trailor will have a number stamped on the draw bar you can use that...that IS the law... after 1985 you need a complience plate...if prior to 1985 and you get it regestered and let it run out then its back to the complience plate..any questions send me a pm...i have been here with a bike trailor...bob

great to hear roberta...leavin this week for 5 weels at hat head/south west rocks glad to hear the blackies are on the run..beleive their in the river at the rocks..with some nice tailor on the beach...bob

what a terriable game went to bed just after half time ...the blues would have done better if they sent the referee packing...the second maroons try was a foward pass...but i dont think that changed the game to much....i now think rugby league is only a matter of bums on seats....bob

rexxy....every body has there own ideas..i am now packin the gear to head up to south west rocks ..my rig.i use 20lb mono and i make my own traces about 6 inches long and lead size depends on the day..but i agree tailor will hook themselves on the last 2 hooks of a three gang hook system...the trace is a little extra strength against the rocks...and only use black swivels as tailor will chase chrome ones...want any more info just pm me......bob

i agree with stewy...saftey is something you dont take for granted and something you cant spend enough money on..and these boots are priceless..do yourself a favour..it might be a life saving favour..and buy a pair of these boots..they cant be beat....bob

i buy the salted pillies all the time ..i am past throwing half frozen bait into the sea just to watch it break up in mid air... i use salted pillies from my local tackle store for tailor..and half a pilly for winter bream....bob

roberta.... fishing hat head in june/july...out come the trusty 3/4 wet suite keeps me warm if i fall over in the surf no worries and i can stay out as long as i like... i tried wadders but i found them to awkward and dangerous..and i found you can pick up a wet suit at garage sales and local markets....bob -
hi ceph....havnt found any milkyness ...still using the ervine and guderbrod threads..useing the gin clear epoxy..so far it works for me..i find with filler i can reduce the amount of epoxy and chop the overall weight down...but as you know building rods is sometimes a hit and miss affair..and each rod is an individual... the only time i dont use the filler is on silver thread it sends it dull...bob

great idea ceph..i also use filler on under binds before i try to do my over binds..and i usually put about 4 coats of filler....bob

i went to my local tackle store to price sinkers and nearly had a heart attack at the cost...so i decided to make my own..what a weekend ....bought a 14kg lead ingot nice and clean..no wastage not covered in paint and other nasties...had it chopped into pieces.took it home and with the aide of number one son...we made enough sinkers to keep me rock fishin for the rest of my life....bob

cameron...when i do a rod and i have done my fair share i use 2 grades of thread...on ALL underbinds i use size A..on over binds i use C...i only bind by hand ..no machine and i find i dont have to many probs...if u need more info drop me an email and i will b only to glad to help.....bob

hi ...i salt pippies, cunjoi, tailor fillets, and bonito pippies and cunjoi in plastic jars..tailor ant bonito cut to slabs then onto a tray and left overnite in fridge then into glad cliplock bags..and i use course butchers salt...use to do pillies but now buy them already salted..but dont be afraid to try what you thinks works for you.. i keep these in freezer for my annual trip tp hat head every june..never had a problem....bob

hi...i dont buy frozen anymore..i now buy salted last longer ..dont need to thaw.. wont flyoff the hooks when u cast and no wastage...bob

hi jim...i have painted over gal using a metal paint but i have also used a product called galvit it a cold gal which realy means you can paint it on i found that good stuff...bob

yearh...when i flew to tassie i made my own tube out of pvc ..screw on ends..and i stuffed foam inside to keep my preciouse rods safe....no problem..and cheap to...bob
