During the first week of the holidays my brother, sister, cousins and I went to greys point my sister caught the first fish then coen caught the next fish. Then all the fishing went quiet so we moved to the jetty and my brother hooked up onto a good fish after pulling some line it went in under the jetty and busted him off under the jetty. Then we caught some poddy mullet and little bream. Then me and my brother went down to the George’s river and cast lures and bait we went down to the first spot. After not catching anything and some kids picking up our gear we left and went down to Como and casted lures around for a while. before I got a good hit on my lure and after a short fight with a few runs I had a 50cm flathead in the net after this everything went quiet and we left and went home. The next day we went down to the Woronora river and cast lures around with very limited success after a few hits i caught a small flathead but nothing after that.

Great flathead issac, in Sydney I have struggling to find many fish although I have mostly been using lures I have fished for 8 hours have fish only caught one decent flathead and a few small bream mullet and flathead.

I’ve caught one in that area and my dad got one about 20kgs a couple of years ago.

No we only caught one Barra in the crab trap thank you, I am thanks The cobia, trout and cod where caught at the same place as the queen fish thanks, we saw four dugongs and think it was a sand Barramundi thankyou thanks

I have been up in Weipa for the last week with my family and family friends. The first few days we fished the reefs down the coast and we caught plenty of reef fish and trevally. After fishing the reefs we came back and fished the rivers the fishing was a bit quiet but we stilled managed 13 crabs queen fish, bream and cod. We also had lots and f fun catching sharks, catfish and trevally of the house boat. It was a great experience to go to Weipa and fish we caught lots of new species and had lots of fun. thanks for reading Kobi.

Yesterday me my brother and hookerbruce went down to the George’s river to fish for blackfish. For the first hour or so we only caught a few fish then the tide turned and they were everywhere with every cast getting a down or a fish. We kept 7 and released as many fish as we kept. The fish were between 30-37cm

For the last week I have been at south west rocks with my brother, sister and grandparents. Day 1 we launched from jersyville and went down the river into the arm. We fished the sand flats with success catching flathead up to around 45cm, bream in the 30s and a nice long Tom. Day 2 was much of the same keeping a few flathead and releasing plenty of legal flathead and bream. Day 3 we started in the arm but was a bit quiet so we moved into the main river. after a while my brothers rod screams of down the break wall. After the fish got stuck in weed we managed to get it free and we had a 40cm bream on the boat. day 4 we were back in the main river fishing for jewfish with no success. We then started fishing for bream along the wall with not much luck. Then we made our way up the arm and fished the sand flats with plenty of success. we had flathead eating our lure when we were unwrapping the tip. We ended up with a few flathead up to 55cm. day 5 we woke up to the sound of rain and we decided to fish for blackfish in the back creek. We got there to late and missed the tides, by the time we got there it was very slow. We fished for 4 hours in the rain with bites few and far between. We ended up keeping two and letting a few legal fish go. day 6 the final day of fishing it was raining again so we went fishing for blackfish again. Once again it was quite slow with the odd bite we ended up with two blackfish to keep and a few smaller ones. Thanks for reading kobi

We’ve been catching plenty of flathead at south west rocks but none of that size ,well done.

I went out again today with hookerbruce and my brother. First we went to lilli pilli and caught lots of yellow tail a jewfish and a few small red bream. we then moved slightly closer to lilli pilli and started catching plenty of fish we caught a few flounder with some gurnad. We also caught another small Jew and a tailor with plenty of yellow tail and slimys a mixed in.

We are using them for both Yes we did Thank you It is We caught them on 2kg line with small a piece of yellowtail Thank you Thanks Thankyou

I went out with hookerbruce and my brother. First we went opposite to lilli pilli and we caught a few small fish and lost some bigger fish. then we moved over to lilli pilli and immediately started catching fish. We caught many small reddies and yellow tail. Then the bonito started to come into the area and we couldn’t get a bait past them. after a while the bonito moved on and we were back to the small reddies and yellow tail with a couple of trevally, small kingfish and salmon mixed in.

No I didn’t but did catch my first Jew in Porthacking.
