  1. If only I had seen this post a long time ago - my gf has been living in tamworth for the last 18months for work - as such have been doing a lot of travelling to tammos.. Would have been good to catch up for a fish when I was up there - Unfort the gf is back next wed for good. Cheers Steve.
  2. great effort - you must be stoked! keep em coming mate!
  3. Nexus has it spot on raiders. Stop thinking that everyone else has 'special' spots better than yours. be confident when you fish - go out there with a plan & try something new for yourself. It makes fishing exciting and you will learn far more in the long run by fishing with an open mind. You never know - you might stumble across an awesome jew-hole and land a 22kg beast this way...

The kings have been VERY finicky lately - I have been having big schools chasing my lures and even snapping at them - so much so i've been putting a stinger hook in the tail of my plastics.. but to no avail. This is the trend with lots of reports of frustrating days - even the fly dudes can only pick up one or two. I had a few runs on the weekend on squid strips and baby yakkas free spooled. They will be on thick and fast soon, but unfort we are just going to have to wait it out. At least there are some BIG schools going around - and a few that are holding 10-15kg fish.. again just going to have to wait it out a little. tip: sometimes when i rock up to a marker I bash the christ out of my tinnie with a big screwdriver... quite a few times it's woken them up and first placcie to hit the water gets nailed.
  8. Sounds like a great session.. Those choppers have been around for a few days now and there is some size to them as well. Glen, mark, myself and a few other fishos hit them up on tuesday evening. good fun - happy days. I want a few of those metre+ kings!
  9. My03 - try and sound them out to find what depth they are sitting.. let your lure sink to that depth (helps to count it out - 10-12 seconds, depending on current, or let it sink all the way to the bottom) then two BIG rod length retrieves and a medium retrieve thereafter with twitches and pauses on the way in.
  10. Good work on the flatties Dale, Marco and I scored a few there on saturday afternoon. Ha! got one on a 6" sluggo Cheers Steve.
