Havent been out as much as would like,I moved up here from Blacktown in october,been weired weather,either raining or blowing the dog off the chain,plus river has been filthy due to sewrage spill when there was a blackout plus all the fresh in the river with the rain.

I would use a piece of marine ply about 6inches bigger then motor mounting plate with marine sikaflex spread on it,mount it to transom with a stainless bolt in each corner,this will spread the weight of motor and should be sweet. nice little rig,will get you up the river.

You should repack your bearing's with grease at least once a year.jack wheels up,spin wheels,listen for rumbling,if all good then, pull bearings out,wash out with petrol and a paint rush,rince with water,blow dry if you have a compressor, inspect the rollers and case hardening for flaking if no flaking or corrosion or pits in rollers or roller track then repack them,and reuse them,no use changing bearings for the sake of it.put new seals in.

push the key in once which give's a shot of fuel to richen start up. turn key and crank motor.

Sorry to hi jack thread Roosterman, what is the biggest you can get in the shirt's? I am a big bloke and wear 5-6xl shirt's and can never fin d any thing decent to fit,thought someone might know where to get big one's from?

Did you also try a wet test? a couple of drop's of oil in the cylinder's to seal the bore's up. the push in tester's are normally a bit tricky as they can leak,try to get one that screw's into the sparkplug hole's,much more accurate.

Is an 18 foot boat big enough for shark and light game fishing out of Crowdyhead? not talking catching record breaking marlin etc,just something other then bashing around the river? and bit more sport.
