  2. Hey Roosterman Now thats a top effort in anyones books! Should also try to to to get your mate to post his swains reef photo's. I'm sure there's some crackers in there Cheers Trapper Tom
  3. Yocky Spot on mate, its not bacteria. Looks great behind the boats motor and other stuff, ie zipping your line through the water at night etc. As Plankton, my understanding is that they do the photosynthesis thing to produce energy. Hence pollutants such as fertilizers are the main contributing factor to abnormal environmental occurrences. Also Noted these things are a normal part of the environment and have always been there. Regards Trapper Tom
  4. Hey Guys Muddies are particularly hard to farm. They are cannabalistic and territorial, so naturally it is very difficult. There has been some success only recently, but the farm out is approx 450g. If they are muddies then they are not farmed. OOPs, therefore they will not be farmed and will therefore be wild and not legal. If they are not muddies then, OOOps, Food Act and labelling requirements!!!, still not legal and an offence. Buggered on both counts. Groper and Bagga do with that what you will with the Authorities if you so choose. Just make sure you check, check and check again before any formal compliant. It may very well come back to bite you on the arse big time, like my "Rockwieller" does to me. Tan, (He He), as a Mod your response to our on going sub threads is required, as well as naturally your opinion on the above. Cheers all FR's Trapper T Your response
  5. G'day Tan Would that be a good "Hair" day or bad "Hair" day. Good hair day is when doggie shampoo trailer comes around. Cheers Trapper
  6. Hey peschi Had a look at the records section. Reckon your right. There is no entry for a piranha as yet. Suggest you submit to Slinkey. You may get lucky. The Gods response will be interesting. Don't reckon I have any chance of beating the record if accepted though. He He In fact reckon it will stand for some time. Cheers Trapper T
  7. G'day Tan. Been out of action with work. Sorry no replies till now. M Pete,s response was a classic!! If you need help digging out the bush rock have the perfect employee. My Doggie! Digs holes everywhere. Its a, wait for it, "Rockwieller". Dammit, back to the pound for me, walking now. Cheers Trapper T
  8. Hey iMick Suggest you buy a carton of "Winnie Reds". Your gunna need em In all seriousness, horses for courses. However if you have not caught many before, suggest you concentrate on learning Tide Time Moon Barometric pressure etc. Keep a Diary. Fish heavier till you you learn the basics and get a few!! Then the fun, and your test, with light line can begin, but not before. Remember light line, big fish, inevitable escape means its wondering around out there with a hook in its mouth and trailing a truck load of line with it. Survivability = 0. I'm a 70/30 C&R person so my opinion is weighted towards this angle, however I am of the opinion that If you can't get the damn thing into the boat/shore to eat the bugger, and it escapes only to die, whats the point on doing it at all. There are some top specialist jewie fisherman and articles on this site, suggest research a little more and build your momentum from there. Good luck. Cheers Trapper T
  9. Peter Great pics as usual Love the second one. Looks like:- "A great left cross from the roo on the right that nearly takes the lefts roo's head off". Shame LH roo could,t take it and denigrated into kick boxing after that!! Cheers Trapper

  15. Hey Peter Now these are teeth! First one, "Fang" from Shadey Camp. Scared the crap out of me taking it, hence not a real good photo. See my post about it in pictures, I think maybe end of april early May. Second one is the croc zoo in Darwin. They are awesome beasts! Your an absolute shocker with some of your posts. You have now doomed me, and many others, to taking pictures of teeth from critters for the rest of my life. Cheers Trapper T Peter OOOOPS Attachments did not attach. Sorry, now attached, I hope. Cheers Trapper
  16. G'day Peter Jeez you were fast with that Top response. In the words of the Hush Puppy dog ad years ago, it was, "Great mate, woof". Tan the Man will probably get on my wagon now for that comment, he promised to send me to the pound for the next sick doggie pun I made. Tan, Now walking to the RSPCA. Also suggest you send Rays photo to Vogue, see whether you can get Ray on the front page of their next edition as the fashion guru of the fishing world, definately deserves it with that suit. Could be tiltled the "Ray Gun" fisherman suit ". He's definately "stunning" enough in it. Ray, now officially walking to the RSPCA. Love ya posts Ray and Peter, always entertaining and always great photo's. Cheers Trapper T

  21. Tan Top response mate. No more posts on this subject from me now as my therapist threatened to hit me on the nose with a rolled up newspaper unless I gave it up.(had to get one last one in)! Cheers Mate. Thanks for the banter, always very appreciated. Back to work now. Trapper T
  22. Hey Tan Amazing storey and as usual you go for the big stories. I think it's not to far off that they will prove the mammals of the sea have far more intelligence than us pathetically arrogant humans currently give them credit for. Have dived with whales dolphins etc etc and you can SEE the intelligence in their eyes and their actions. To be in their environment with them is a astounding and moving experience to say the least. On another note. I also thought the other day that I would try to usurp you on the big stories and take the Pittwater Doggie storey to the next level. Planned to have a personal interview with the dog in question, ie what made him do it, where did he swim to, what did he find, how did he survive etc, was going to sell the storey to 60 minutes and FR for $200K. When I got there the doggies owners advised, sorry, the cat(fish)s got his tongue. They also advised he was still not quite recovered, still had a bit of "bark" off him from the ordeal. Despondently left whilst "growling" that after driving all that way my vision of a "Big scoop and big money" was in tatters. Went home and after promising the I was on a sure winner here, promptly found myself in the "doghouse". PAL doesn,t taste to good, but on the upside have used it as very effective and cheap burley, so I very dicreetyly saved it for that in HER! freezer I really think I should move on from the doggie storey now, my therapist thinks I,m a "sick puppy" and is getting really worried. Cheers Trapper T
  23. He's a Idiot A lesson in how to die. Trapper T
  24. Hey Tan Thanks very much for the info mate. Had not sourced it at all, and true to your claim, you only go for the big stories. All that I'm left with is "Barking up the wrong tree" stories ie my Pittwater doggie storey. Dammit another corny line Seriously. Glad the little buggers are Ok. They are absolutely Magic in the water around ya boat. 60 breeding pairs only, Man do they need some looking after and that they are doing. Cheers Tan and FR's Trapper T Bugger back to work now
  25. Hey Guys Great report! Great session. You obviously didn't need to ice the fish down Cheers Trapper T
